I have just moved from a very academic school with practically no behaviour issues and high achieving motivated pupils to a challenging comp which is trying to turn itself around. I wanted a challenge, and have definitely got that! I obviously try to make lessons engaging, but am struggling to really get on with my lessons with a couple of classes due to,poor behaviour. I teach maths, and am just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for structuring lessons (they are very long!) or tasks/activities that might minimise disruption really.
