CV ideas please!

Hi,
I'm writing my CV hoping to find a part time job, I've filled in all the bits showing my training and experience and I've said how I work within a team, blah, blah. But I've hit a really stupid problem: i've drawn a blank when it comes to describing my strengths as a teacher.

My brain knows what I'm good at but I can't think of how to phrase it for a CV. For instance I'm good at teaching phonics and reading and maths and I like children, but that's just what teacher's do anyway!!! I'm KS1/reception, so obviously I can teach phonics

So any good ideas for phrasing for a CV, avoiding using the dreaded 'I like working with children?'

I'm still really keen to teach (despite the crap) but Ks1 is about being able to teach every subject and to connect with young children rather than having a specialism. My key strength is how I relate to children.

Any ideas?

Adept at recognising children's individual needs and able to adapt personal pedagogy to secure progress for each learner... ?? Such CV guff

The most current phrases are to do with recognising when to move children on, next steps in their learning etc, so a sentence about that would be useful. Also good to mention the word governors somewhere.

Personally, I'd keep the CV for the factual dates & places stuff. Expanding on what makes you great for the job and what strengths you'd bring to that particular school is what goes in your letter of application.

Able to identify every childs learning need to help guide them through the early stages of school to ensure their future success

Id also check each school you apply for- which method/sche,e do they use to teach phonics/ do they use creative curriculum, and then adapt your cv to match these

Thank you very much it only occurred to me later that it was a stupid day to post a CV query- teachers should be out having fun before term starts again. Thank you very much for taking the time I will follow up all those suggestions.

Also, if you receive an application containing the exact above phrases, don't smirk!
