From the article:

African Parks showed “a recurring indelicate and disrespectful attitude toward the government,” Environment Minister Hassan Bakhit Djamous said in a statement. He also said there had been a resurgence in poaching and a lack of investment at the reserves managed by the conservation group.

Chad cuts ties with Prince Harry’s ‘disrespectful’ charity

As ever, it is hard to believe that H has any grasp of how to run charities outside the structure that was previously provided for him by the "men in grey".

I look forward to the pretzel twisting logic from super supporters that positions H as the victim because as we know...H is the victimiest victim to ever victim.

Concerns were raise over financial irregularities, capital being transferred abroad. Not a good look.

elessar · 07/10/2025 21:25

Another charity of Harry’s being accused of financial abuses and mismanagement? Not a good look is it! It’s beginning to look like there’s a common denominator…

Indianrollerbird · 07/10/2025 21:25

Remind me who it was who complained about Empire 2.0…🤔

AtIusvue · 07/10/2025 21:48

Good. People employed by the charity committed human rights abuses. The whole thing should be shut down.

but interesting that yet again…financial irregularities are popping up around Harry’s charities.

AutumnedCrow · 07/10/2025 22:01

Over four pages, the ministry alleged grave breaches of contract and financial irregularities, accusing the charity of keeping unaudited accounts and not being transparent over how funds were raised, managed and spent.

It alleged that the charity illegally collected tourism revenues, used tax-haven bank accounts in the Isle of Man and transferred capital and foreign exchange abroad “to the detriment of Chad and in flagrant violation of national banking and tax regulations”. The ministry also claimed African Parks had prioritised tourism over conservation, banned Chadians from certain sites and failed to invest in essential equipment for rangers as poaching surged across its parks.

Prince Harry became president of the organisation in 2017 before being promoted to the governing board of directors in 2023, assuming greater responsibility for management and strategy.

Bloody hell. This look absolutely terrible for Harry.

I presume H&M knew this announcement was imminent?

What’s his excuse for failed leadership this time? ‘Nobody told me.’ That old chestnut?

Much of the Invictus apparatus in Birmingham is going to be exposed to FoI. It’s going to be interesting.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 07/10/2025 22:11

For those who care to look I believe the "common denominator" has been obvious for a while, @elessar

And IMO it can only be a matter of time until we learn of similar issues with Invictus

Totally agree. I really hope someone starts digging into Invictus - it’s the most high profile and the one Harry and Meghan do the most with publicly, which suggests the piss taking could be the most flagrant of them all.

BemusedAmerican · 07/10/2025 22:39

This whole situation is very upsetting but not surprising. I'm waiting for the Invictus revelations.

My2cents1975 · 07/10/2025 22:45

I stand by my supposition that Invictus has enough red flags to thoroughly outfit a Communist Party Congress!

Chad plays key role in anti-terrorism actions which keeping the UK and its allies safe by dealing with terrorist cells in their desert training camps. Access to Chad is important and maintaining friendly government relations for access to Chadian airspace is vital.

Aside from Western nations, China, Russia and Turkey are also focused on cultivating friendly relations with Chad for their own geopolitical interests.

As I said years ago, if KC3 did not contain H, one day H would inevitably create a diplomatic mess too vast for KC3 to contain. Well, that day has arrived.

The US, UK, France and other western alliance nations will not be impressed by the self-proclaimed Spare antagonising the government of Chad to the extent that Chad released a scathing report to the press, knowing full well it would receive international press coverage.

The financial shenanigans aside, the key issue here is national security. If Western nations leave Chad that means terrorists have the entire Sahel belt to use for logistics and training. Take a long hard look at modern warfare in Ukraine and imagine terrorists training in the Sahel on drone warfare to target your city/village...and not being spotted due to Western intelligence operatives being told to leave because spoilt brat H angered Chad's government.

Thanks for this, @BemusedAmerican.

Here (in an article from last night) the MailOnline reminds us of the Mail on Sunday’s revelations about the atrocities inflicted on the Baka people by African Parks which I would suppose conform more to the old ‘heart of darkness’ model that H is supposed to be against.

‘The MoS found first-hand testimonies of atrocities inflicted on the Baka, an indigenous people once known as pygmies, to stop them entering forests where they have foraged, fished, hunted and found medicines for millennia.

‘One woman told of being raped by an armed guard while clinging to her newborn baby. And a teenage boy claimed he was groomed for paid sex by another guard.

‘A community activist said a Baka man died after being beaten and jailed without getting treatment for his injuries.’

H&M shenanigans outlined in The Hill, which clearly go against the national interests of the UK and its allies, are perhaps the explanation behind the recent apparent ‘softening’ by the King toward him. But to me, that’s pointing even more to H being identified as a clear and present danger to be handled, not a beloved son.

Blow for Prince Harry as Chad cuts ties with 'disrespectful' charity

Chad's environment minister Hassan Bakhit Djamous gave a damning four-page  statement as he announced an end to the country's 15-year partnership with African Parks.

Thanks for sharing @My2cents1975, this is really concerning. Harry is so out of his depth.

AutumnedCrow · 08/10/2025 07:32

There’s also something fishy about the previous government’s reluctance, and possibly the current government’s reluctance, to name China as a national security threat. (See: today’s UK headlines about ‘spy trial’ collapse , passim.)

Does it relate to Andrew’s uselessness, depravities and inept ‘spy’ connections under the previous government, and the government’s unwillingness to embarrass the Head of State?

This is why I’m a republican now. These ‘spares’ and relatives like the York family are a bloody political liability and potentially very avariciously treacherous with their damaging grubby, flashy, boastful connections.

Nepotism is nepotism whether the spare is royal or not. Just look at the Trump offspring, or Hunter Biden, there are many many children of the rich and powerful behaving badly and illegally. I think it's why there is that saying 'rags to rags in three generations'.

That isn't to excuse the Royal spare, just to say that removing the monarchy won't remove the problem.

Possibly the opposite. More high profile, therefore more likely to be done above board.

But if Invictus is writing off thousands and thousands to 'sundry expenses', like they did in Dusseldorf, FOI isn't going to achieve much.

I would suspect the whole reluctance HMG has with calling out China has much much much more to do with wider trade deals than the Royal Family, though I guess they might benefit from HMG inaction.

Jesus , has anyone ever had more cock ups than Harry ? He needs to be reined in pretty sharpish .

ozarina · 08/10/2025 14:14

There's some very dubious language used here. You do wonder what has been going on . No response from Harry yet?

That sounds a bit more serious than being patron and not being up to speed with duties.
