It is reported that Harry has a stalker. Harry's security team had to body-block the stalker when he was at the Well Child Awards. The stalker managed to get through the hotel's security. The stalker also went to Nigeria. If this story comes from Harry, he hasn't thought it through. If you have a stalker and your own security team, the security team briefs the security team at every venue you visit not go admit the stalker.

Imagine if they really are trying to frame one of their Sussex Squad crew as a deranged stalker.

To be honest if this is just a bit of a weirdo who keeps turning up to his events (and is a mega fan), then as much as it must be a bit creepy, it doesn’t warrant a case for police protection - not unless the person is trying to harm him, which it doesn’t sound like is the case.

most celebrities have some obsessed super fans / stalkers who pop up everywhere they go. Clearly a nuisance but not something a normal level bodyguard can’t handle absolutely fine.

And as ever, if Harry wanted to lower his personal risk, he could stop publicising his schedule in advance (or at all). Charities could still benefit from publicity retrospectively without announcing visits from him in advance.

Unfortunately it’s not an uncommon path for dedicated fans or followers to turn into obsessed stans. The real danger is when they are male, the celeb is female, and the stan starts acting out like a scorned, unhinged ex-boyfriend.

Statistically female fans tend to present far less danger to male celebs.

Perhaps, yes, and while the activities of the Squad once seemed to suit H&M just fine, I can quite see that Harry may want to distance himself now he's presenting as someone who wants more money a reconciliation

Trouble is such people aren't so easily distanced, so perhaps it might have been better if the couple hadn't been so quick with their thanks in the first place

I imagine there would be a fair amount of spluttering and complaining on here if he called out the police everytime he saw this person. They’d say ‘how dare he use our precious police resources and taxpayers money when he has his own private security who could deal with this’

He's supposed to be showing leadership, and to be a role model. Only the police can investigate and assess whether the woman is really a 'stalker' (which would be a criminal offence) and make recommendations to the CPS.

He's here in NYC this week. We have a new and competent head of police. I'm sure she is giving him a police detail and will be aware of the stalker issue.

Two articles on BBC news today about stalking - one with regard to Myleene Klass and the other the McCanns. Seems to be a lot of it about.

It’s not victim blaming, it’s pointing out a fact that Harry, like any grown adult, can choose to increase or decrease his level of risk based on the actions he takes.

if he was that genuinely worried for his safety, from this person or anyone else, then he could choose to reduce his level of risk by not publicising his whereabouts in advance. The fact that he doesn’t do this suggests he’s not actually that worried or under threat, despite what he might choose to profess.

if the person really is Peace the SS member who has been photographed with H&M, then this all just sounds like a publicity stunt from Harry to try and further make his case for police protection.

Maybe there’s a factional split in the squad. The Meghan stans could be making Harry’s life awkward.

H&M (one or both of them) may know nothing about this, of course. Although they must have an inkling.

But that squad is volatile and unpredictable. And I daresay capricious.

The ‘Harry stalker’ scenario is from a private security report Harry himself paid for, written up by a private security company he hired. Nothing to do with official police reports or security intel in either the UK or US, which explains why there is no attempt to get an injunction against her. It’s probably embellished or lies, and wouldn’t stand up in court.

Quite amazing then if he is accepting an award for online safety tonight - but somehow has generated and leaked a report which has set the hares running speculating on the identity of a member of the public before any official investigation or criminal charge has taken place. Careless.

Well it's not for the first time. The so called "royal racists" were the subject of much online debate for a 18 months until Harry backtracked (his odious mantle later to be taken up by Omid Scobie who can only have got his information from the Sussexes). Then there is the poor woman he claimed was an "older woman" who took his virginity. How many other women were discussed online and pilloried, until poor Sasha was forced to out herself before the press did? And then the Sussex Squad's continued attacks all over the internet on his brother, sister in law, and their children, while the Sussexes either stay silent or give active support to these people. Harry doesn't give a fuck about the online safety of others. He's just using vehicles like the Parent Network to bring about the anti free speech laws he thinks will deliver him a wholly uncritical press.

The latest African Parks scandal must have been pre-warned to him (as a board member) before it went public. Call me a cynic, but Harry issuing a poor me story in advance of this smacks of an attempt at a smokescreen.

That’s quite the ‘pattern of behaviour’ when you lay it all out like that.
