So few people showed up. Wonder if he and the media will ever catch on that the public are done with him.

yes so done with him , that you started yet another thread about him.
strange that he is so unimportant, yet he has how many threads about him in this topic.

ThePoshUns · 10/09/2025 14:35

And most of those were press.

I caught it on local 6pm news, it lingered on the huge crowd behind the barrier! 50 at a push nearly all photographers, only a few jo public trying to get a selfie at front. Usually they crop video footage so it doesn't look obviously unattended. I saw the chap from the sun filming. It's a shame because these small grass roots initiatives need support. Much was made about his donation to BBC children in need as if it was to the recording studio itself, rather superfluous comment and disingenuous.

@binkie163 most of the donation is to the studio I think.

@binkie163 most of the donation is to the studio I think.

I hope so but that's not how it came across from the exec interviewed from children in need, he made the point that CIN choose how money is distributed to the many projects they support, hence why it seemed disingenuous to suggest the studio was getting 1m if that was the case why not donate direct to the studio trust, it is a registered non profit organisation.

The BBC said

The Duke of Sussex has announced that he will be donating £1.1m to BBC Children in Need to support grassroots organisations supporting young people impacted by violence.
During his visit to Nottingham on Tuesday, Prince Harry announced the donation to the BBC programme, which is also contributing £300,000 to the cause.
The funding will support grassroots organisations primarily in the city of Nottingham to "create opportunities, nurture potential and help young people build brighter futures".

and then later,

Much of the money will go the Community Recording Studio in Nottingham, where Prince Harry visited today.

Sorry, not ‘most’ but ‘much’.
