Just wondered if anyone has any opinions on the interview - ie Sorkins Qs and PH responses as well as the demeanour of both during interactions.

I think most people's responses are already on the various threads that are running about Polo, ARO, etc. Might be worth having a look?

I don't suppose you know how Harry got the invitation to be there? He strikes me as being very out of his depth, even while not being sufficiently challenged.

I think its interesting that this interview in a recent, indepth, original source - from the horses mouth - piece that hasnt really been discussed whereas lots of secondary media speculative pieces continue to gain traction. Maybe its because you have to search the link out and watch for 30 mins.

No I dont know why he was invited by the organisers - I don't know enough about their remit to understand where he fits in. I was also unclear what PH's own objective was - he didnt take the opportunity to promote any initiative but seemed to be ruminating and revisiting clearly unresolved old wounds from the distant past. He did speak about the perils of SM and the power and (un)accountability of the companies that run them but he had no original POV.

I thought his demeanour was agitated and in a power play with the interviewer throughout - 'comic' distractions, dominance by involving the audience frequently, 'sparring' and abrasive the interviewer. He was very much out of his depth intellectually and seemed to walk off stage quite piqued ahead of the interviewer.

He presented like a man under pressure on the backfoot.....that might just be during those minutes being grilled by a razor sharp interviewer where he was challenged and didnt get to control the narrative? And/or there is something else going on in his life.

I thought it powerful that he said that part of his rational for the security court case was for 'reconciliation' and when asked what he wanted to be remembered for was 'for being a good husband and good father'. I thought both of those comments were touching and revealing.

Harry looked like the fool he is but he seems to think he is an important jokey talented speaker. He tries to steer away from things he doesn't or can't answer and fails. The interviewer was sharp, on target and was not waylaid by him. It showed just how lacking in brainpower Harry is.

@ToomanyMilesAway I agree with your take on it - probably one of the few times he was 'challenged' or made to squirm.
