Does anyone else think Sophie DofE looks different like she’s had a ‘glow up’? She was always attractive but the picture the RF put out today she looks amazing! Did she always look like this? Has she had a Spray tan?

This is a very pretty Oscar de la Renta dress, which hasn't had a re-wear. Unusually for Meghan at this time, it's black and white. Still nice, though.

This Oscar de la Renta bird dress is my favourite evening dress of Meghan’s. So pretty. Even in my youngest thinnest days I could never have worn something so pretty/dainty.

It's so lovely, isn't it? With pair of delicate heels and tiny earrings, you could give it a go, @Wickedlywearynamechange !

The shape of the bird dress is divine.

She looks comfortable in her skin and in my opinion, nothing is more attractive than that.

I wish the fabulous causes she supports got more press attention. I think the same goes for Camilla.

They are all about women. So important in this day and age.

And never seem to be cherchez la camera lens. It is all about the cause. And again, that is a quality of the royal women that is admirable.

I have to disagree with you @Maireas The Oscar De LA Renta bird dress is a bit Audrey Hepburn in Sabrina Fair/18 year old ingenue/off the peg bridesmaid dress from Coast circa 2002. Nice on a young girl maybe, but not the sophisticated attire of a woman approaching 40. And I don't understand what's going on with the lining and hemline. Meghan had better, much more sophisticated evening wear looks, imo.

I see what you mean about the ballerina look, but again, I just associate that with young girl or with a costume, not sophistication. It does nothing for her figure. It shortens an already short torso, thickens her waist, and doesn't make the best of her long, slim legs, just makes her look a bit lollypop like. Anyway, just my opinion, and as this is a derail on the subject of the lovely Sophie, I will say no more.

You're not derailing, these threads meander and I'm guilty of that! We're talking about style, which always interests me. Sophie does look great, and always appropriate. I think the Changing of the Guard outfit was good because it was smart and just right for the occasion without being too fussy.

I thought Sophie’s outfit was very apt for the French guards. Very pared down and quietly sophisticated. It’s always a mystery to me how French women manage to pull that look off and still look striking. I’m glad she didn’t go for a red, white and blue cliche.

@CoffeeCantata i have that book, and there is also a great American equivalent about preppy New England wasp types! You don’t realise how much society has changed until you read it.

That colour choice was no accident. Diana wore the same combination for her iconic picture sitting alone in front of the Taj Mahal and it was striking then. Actually Diana’s was more of a tomato red, Meghan’s cherry red is better.
