US broadcasters offering Andrew televised interview

Andrew has been approached by at least two major US networks offering a televised interview, filmed in the UK. The Mirror says he is considering it and quote a source close to Andrew who says “Nothing is off the table. Andrew has been made to give up his job and now potentially his home. He feels there is little else to lose when he has already paid an awfully high price.”
The Mirror also says that Andrew is furious the King may ban him from wearing ceremonial robes to his May 6 coronation.

I hope Andrew does give another TV interview.

I would never believe what I read in The Mirror, but I could see it happening. It would be a ratings coup.

onlylarkin · 13/03/2023 20:16

Oops... I meant I can see him being offered an interview, not that I could see him doing it.

vera99 · 13/03/2023 20:28

Do it Andrew do it - the world needs a laugh.

JuliesBicycle · 13/03/2023 20:50

I totally believe he has been offered televised interviews. The viewing figures would be enormous.
I would love him to do it.

This! Now Harry has started it why not carry on! Makes life for us peasants a bit less boring... (though hugs to the women he's raped and mistreated 😢 if they come up)

STFU Andrew would be the best advice. He knows perfectly well he slept with this (then) girl, and probably loads of others. His penis was probably talking louder than his conscience or his common sense. He consorted with a vile criminal and needs to retire to a quiet country retreat.

ssd · 13/03/2023 21:07

Nah, i hope he does it too, hopefully another nail in the royal families coffin.

"Bro give more dosh or I sing - you wouldn't want to knock over that very lovely Coronation vase would you."

The King’s siblings Princess Anne, 72, and Prince Edward, 59, as well as Prince Andrew, 63, inherited nothing from the Queen, and are said to share “some resentment” because of this.

IDontWantToBeAPie · 13/03/2023 22:30

He could've helped those young girls but didn't. I think being raped and abused is much worse than going from insanely wealthy to slightly less wealthy.

IDontWantToBeAPie · 13/03/2023 22:32

Quite frankly I don't give a fuck that the biggest millionaires in the UK - who are EXEMPT FROM INHERITANCE TAX - are being fucked over. The only ones I respected are dead. Make them fucking work like the rest of us.

JenniferBarkley · 13/03/2023 22:36

Yes I fully believe any broadcaster would love to have an interview with him. He would be an idiot to do it, but, well....

Anyway, I'll get the popcorn/

Say whatever we want about QE2 parenting, but she had a level of emotional intelligence and foresight to prevent this kind of thing. Margaret never went against her because she was provided the lavish lifestyle she couldn’t let go of to be with her first love. Harry never went against her because she maintained with him a certain level of closeness. She took care of her cousins.

But Charles and William they simply expect people to be grateful for their existence no matter how they get treated. One suspects he will have to release the cash or face the consequences.

ssd · 13/03/2023 23:00

Charles was the sole beneficiary because if it went to him he didn't pay tax on it.

Thats the issue here.

We, the British public, are losing out on tax that we need to prop up our failing services.

But of course the media are concentrating on trying to convince us that the issue is about the rest of them feeling hard done by.

The Queen certainly made sure her inner circle never went without. You can't expect total obedience without reward. Money and jealousy will be the downfall of the crown. The infighting will finish them Charles is too stubborn to fix the Windsor dysfunction.

Indeed, the very word "court" comes from Royal patronage. Maybe Charles should have done more in-house training with ma and pa on "How To be a Successful Monarch" instead of running off into his mistresses arms. If I was making such a course I would kick off day one with "The Problem with Princes!"

Both candidates were courting the independent voters.

Hang on though; the Queen was still alive when Andrew did his car crash Maitlis interview, and she certainly didn't stop that

However I agree she kept most in some vague sort of order, even if it was just because they didn't want to offend her. Pity about the mess they're making of things now she's gone, but hey, it's all grist to the mill ...

JuliesBicycle · 14/03/2023 12:45

The Queen did not have the emotional intelligence to stop things.
She did rarely take large actions preferring tiny incremental change. So her actions rarely precipitated crisis and when they did it was her lack of action that was the issue.

Charles favours bold actions. There are more entertaining storms ahead.

And Charles is petty in his behaviour. That alone will cause issues. Elizabeth did not punish Charles for publicly saying she was a bad mother. She did nothing and let it all pass. Charles retaliates.

He probably feels the need to explain to the world that he hasn't done anything wrong, and if he has then it wasn't his fault, and we should all sit down and listen to his reasoning. He's so very important, and his victims are not very important, so he's completely bewildered that there seem to be consequences for what he's done - when the issue is quite clearly that we just don't understand him. If he could just have an hour or two of our undivided attention, in order for us to be educated on how awful this has all been for him, then maybe he could put all this nonsense behind him.

(I won't watch it, but I'll enjoy reading about it so I hope he does it.)

HaveYouSeenNancy · 14/03/2023 15:22

And I agree about Charles being petty, I also think he's always been Charles' least favourite sibling so another reason I hope he does it is that the consequences will be huge.
