Another oldie that I laughed at:

Love it. Brilliant. Her face - she means business.

Fair enough: I’ll leave you to enjoy your two-minute hate uninterrupted. (And the bullies at my school never thought they were bullies either, they were simply having a laugh and commenting on other people).

Maybe YOU’RE the bully immergeradeus. But just don’t know it.

MarshaMelrose · 07/01/2023 14:37

@Mezmer Ignore them. I've spent all night and day giggling at ...and a sandwich.
Such genius.

RedToothBrush's post was brilliant.

I wonder if whilst Harry was sitting in Notts Cottage feeling hard done by that Kate and William (with their new baby) weren't inviting him over, he ever thought to offer to go over, do a bit of cooking or tidying up and/or watch the baby while Kate or William slept? I doubt it, he seems incapable of thinking of others.

I just posted on another thread, doctors are estimating there are currently 300 to 500 avoidable deaths per week in the UK due to failures of emergency medical care. That's a minimum of 1200 (and up to 2000) families a month grieving due to an avoidable loss. Things here are really bad now in a way that makes Harry's perceived problems look even more petty and pathetic.

I think we're justified in finding a bit of joy in memes that are a direct result of Harry's own actions. You reap what you sow.

I doubt there was any shortage of people to cook, clean and mind the baby!

RedToothBrush's post was brilliant.

It was indeed* Falalala*

Anyone else noticed, or feeling a bit discombobulated, by the way Harry refers to and talks about Megan? It comes across to me that he is obsessed with her, it's not love it's absolute obsession - the seals knew she was magical too - a case in point. It all smacks of him elevating her into some Goddess, out of this world status and thus she must be worshipped by all in the manner he does because she has deigned to bestow her Goddess presence on the mere mortals. Hence the Megan gets what Megan wants tiara episode, the Duchess of Cambridge should have been honoured that Megan asked to use her lip gloss and not reluctant, The Duchess of Cambridge should not have taken offence at the sexist and time worn slur about her hormones from uber feminist Goddess Megan (a slur that has been used by every chauvinist against women since time immemorial) King Charles should have welcomed her to Balmoral to view his dead mother.

I am wondering what H&M's reaction to all the unfavourable and piss taking responses to his book are, they will have sought them out they will know what the press/public/Twitter/social media are saying. I'm laying bets that the next thing we hear from Harry will be It's all the ghost writer/publishers fault, they made me say these things/the ghost writer has clearly been briefed by the Palace/is a Palace plant. After all he has blamed William and Catherine for his Nazi uniform. He is a man who can take no responsibility for his own actions and the consequences thereof. I wonder if the Palace, in hindsight, protected and covered up too much for his actions it may have been better for him in the long run if he had been made to face up to them.

Anyhow back to the memes, sorry for the derail.

@MNHQ this is bullying! Is this thread "in the spirit of mumsnet"?

He is not ‘clearly unwell’ and the book has been in production for over a year, it is not the result of a sudden moment. The book is a bullying attack on his family by someone who both very privileged and shows themselves to be incredibly entitled, revealing very private moments and information about them and to which they are unable to respond. Or do you think it appropriate to make money off your father’s grief? The trauma of your father’s childhood bullying and his medical conditions? If he is unwell then he should definitely not have written a book and others should have stopped him publishing it. But he has and it is public, so you cannot now say the only response he should receive for it is a huge amount of money at the expense of the family he is treating so badly.

@Shelefttheweb may I reply to your last statement first?
Where and when did I say that
"the only response he should receive for it is a huge amount of money..."?
I haven't actually said what I think about the book, I was only talking about how cruel I believe the 'memes' to be.

However, as you have accused me of this, I will give you my opinion:

I think that writing the book was probably cathartic for Harry, but after he wrote it he should have burned it, and without showing it to anyone else.

I think it is a terrible way for him to make money, and if I was not absolutely convinced that he is suffering from at least one severe mental illness, then I would probably think along the same lines as you - with an exception for his father. That man made Harry's mother's life more than merely miserable, as did his mistress. Ultimately, if charles and camilla had not plotted to get Diana to marry him, then yes, Harry wouldn't have been born - which given his mental state he might wish had never happened anyway - and Diana would not have died in that tunnel in Paris.

I tried to stick up for Meghan for a long time, when reports of what she had said and done were only heresay, but since their interview with Oprah, and all the subsequent things that they have said and done, I do now (very sadly) have to believe that Meghan is indeed narcissistic, and a gaslighter, she does not come across to me as having a mental illness at all, but she does seem to have negative mental thought processes.

I agree with you that of course "others should have stopped him publishing it", but who are the others you think should have stopped him? His wife? The one who mistakenly thought the book would have everyone on their side, instead of what has actually happened, which is almost totally the opposite of that? Or do you think that the publishers should have refused to publish it? Ha ha! Maybe you think his friends should have stopped him? But he dropped them - even his best friend - after he married Meghan, she probably convinced him that they were trying to ruin his life, rather than save it.

Harry has been mentally unwell since shortly after his Mother's death. He appears to be getting worse every year, and his wife seems to be encouraging his decline. I just wish that more people on Mumsnet had compassion and empathy for Harry, rather than laughing at him, and kicking him when he is already so far down.
