It's possible to like and dislike someone for what you see of their behaviour, actions and so on, regardless of what colour their skin is. Am I being thick here, or what?

Why do Meghan and Harry think that people don't like Meghan for one reason only?

Possibly it’s all the racism that’s directed at her that has clouded their view.

She has had a very rough time with a lot of it directed at her because of her race….

She doesn’t realise that other people just don’t see race at all.
Played your hand too early, may as well go all in now with “the race card” and “not caring whether she’s black, white or purple”.

Why are some people so consumed by race, that it’s impossible to accept that for other people it just doesn’t matter at all?

Of course it’s possible but in this particular case they do have a point : there were comments, threats and nasty headlines about her being mixed race.
I also think you know if your own family is racist subconsciously so I trust Harry in this. Harry didn’t like the headlines and coverage and asked family to do something about it. He knew that it’s possible but he was refused.

And yes, everyone sees race. Some people claim not to. Often they are racists, ironically enough.

It’s because she believes that the only thing about her that is not perfect is her race.

for someone who doesn't see race and for whom race is not an issue you certainly have a hierarchy of races clear in your head.

She irritates the absolute life out of me and I couldn't care less what colour skin she has.

However, she has dealt with and been a victim of racism and to say otherwise is ignorant.
