When Charles is King, will he create his own Christmas traditions?

Presumably they won't all still trot off to Sandringham? Especially his nieces and nephews.....

Many couples have contact arrangements set by courts when divorced including who they spend Christmas Day with

Not really. Courts only get involved if there is disagreement about access or possible safeguarding issues. There is no evidence the Yorks went to court over access to the children, although being in the RF may have meant the issue of what happened at Christmas was more problem

@smilesy my point was that it was stated as fact that Sarah could have taken her kids away for Christmas day. But its not a fact because none of us know if she had that choice or not.
Maybe she could have but decided it was more important to keep good relations with her exes. Maybe she could have but wanted her girls to enjoy Xmas day at the Palace. Or maybe she had no choice and had to let them go and spend Christmas alone.
We simply don't know.

I agree we don’t know. I just disagreed with your point that it may be subject to a court order as you made it sound as if this was what usually happens. Apologies if that was not what you meant, but that is what I understood.

Basically in these threads, so many people make things up when none of us knows the truth. The only fact we know is that Sarah Ferguson once divorced, did not spend the day with her girls until 2020, as they were with the Royal Family. The only thing Sarah Ferguson has said is that she was alone on the day, watched TV, and liked watching the news to see her girls. This has been reported in publications like Tatler and Hello.
We can have our own opinions on that, but none of us know more than that.

@smilesy sorry I was responding to someone else who said Sarah could do whatever she wanted. We don't know if that is true. It might be. But there are many scenarios where it might not be.

[quote julieca]@TheElvishQueen how do you know that?

I very much doubt she would have been forced to spend every Xmas day alone whilst her daughters spent it with her ex. No court would enforce that . It must have been agreed between them.
She seems She has a good relationship with Andrew so why would Andrew force that arrangement on her? Of course none of us knows what went on though.

@TheElvishQueen read my other comments. I am simply saying that you have no idea what the situation. Neither do I.
