Apparently....a couple of weeks ago. Good to know that such an expensively refurbished property won't be standing idle. Nice that she'll be so close to HM and PP - and her Mum - not so sure about her Dad! Grin

Frogmore was reported to need a lot done up on it as it had not been touched in years. I remember Dicky Arbiter saying it had been earmarked for renovations anyway as there were rusted pipes, floorboards etc. I thought he must know what he was talking about as he had seen it, but who knows. It cost a lot of money as would a Grade listed home of this kind.

Here is the Architectural Digest link on it.

I see it’s perfectly acceptable to make vile comments about Beatrice and Eugenie then all for the crime of Andrew being their father but god forbid anyone slightly criticises Megan and Harry for their actual behaviour. Sunflower, your comments say far more about you than the York girls and not in a good way. Unless you personally know them you have noway of knowing whether they are vile or not.

Roussette · 25/11/2020 10:56

buffyp you obviously didn't see the 200+ threads criticising M&H then... on and on and on and on .... strange that, the threads were prolific

FWIW I don't think any of them are vile. Entitled maybe. Misguided probably. Irritating (to me) yes. But not vile.

Eugenie, and Beatrice, and all the younger non-senior royals who live in royal apartments pay commercial rents. Peppercorn rents were scrapped years ago.

The older royals who are not senior royals (Kents and Gloucesters) also pay commercial rent, but I think the Queen likely helps them out as they were full-time working royals at one point. The abdication and early deaths of The Duke of Kent and George VI impacted on all of that generation.

"Kate's record of neglecting her Patronages - at least two of her Patronages she's literally never visited once since her original appointment"

"The charity @PizzzaExpressWoking was referring to is Action on Addiction. Kate had not visited them for 8yrs. That video where they discuss it has been erased from the internet, but there is this one video on YouTube that was not edited. Though I believe she has in fact acknowledged them before"

Honestly PizzaExpressWoking and Mummy 195 do you never fact-check any of the ridiculous garbage you merrily post? Here is a list of all of the times Kate has visited and supported Action on Addiction since she became patron in 2012. As you can see, she has done something tangible to support the charity at least once, and sometimes twice a year. She may well have also doen things behind the scenes also. This is probably not even exhaustive, it's just what a quick google revealed. You literally couldn't be more wrong.

8 June 2020 - Duchess of Cambridge makes ‘virtual visit’ last week to Clouds House, an Action on Addiction treatment centre
December 2019 - Duchess of Cambridge shown re-visiting The Brink in Liverpool (see 2012) as part of the Mary Berry Christmas cooking tv show highlighting some of the Duke & Duchess' charity patronages.
8 August 2019 - Action on Addiction invited to be one of the boats in The Duke & Duchess' inaugural Kings Cup yacht race
12 June 2019 - Duchess of Cambridge attends Action on Addiction Gala dinner
7 February 2018 - Duchess of Cambridge visits Action on Addiction's new treatment centre in Wickford, Essex
11 November 2016 - representatives of Action on Addiction invited to attend round-table discussion with the Duchess of Cambridge in Amsterdam
3 November 2016 - Duchess of Cambridge attends premiere of "A Street cat called Bob", a benefit for Action on Addiction
10 December 2015 - Duchess of Cambridge visits the Action on Addiction Centre for Addiction Treatment Studies
23 October 2014 - Duchess of Cambridge attends Action on Addiction Autumn Gala
24 October 2013 The Duchess of Cambridge attends the 100 Women in Hedge Funds reception dinner held in aid of Action on Addiction
14 February 2012 - Duchess of Cambridge visits The Brink, Action on Addiction's cafe in Liverpool

It's always interesting to see threads meander, but this is a bit of a WTF departure from Eugenie and Jack!

People won't guess that such a detailed post on a different Royal is on a thread with such a different title. Perhaps it needs a thread of its own?

So back to Eugenie and Jack.....they've now left Frogmore Cottage.

Ok so I have a friend who lives on the Windsor estate and has worked for the RF for many years...Frogmore is not a great place to live and is very isolated. Definitely not somewhere to live with a young baby !

NonyaBizniz · 14/12/2020 05:48

There is a massive sewage works in Windsor.
