Literally just that… sat down for a few minutes after lunch. The cat jumped up. I’ve jobs to do but haven’t the heart to disturb him 🤯

They always want to sit on you at the most convenient times. I would let him stay 🥰

It’s a hard life being a cat having your own personal heated lap ❤️

MyPantsAreFartCentral · Yesterday 15:52

The happiest moments of my life are when I'm trapped under my cat.

MyManinCaracas · Yesterday 15:55

He’s helping you to slow down and rest. Black cats in particular are so thoughtful in that way.

Haffdonga · Yesterday 16:10

You MUSTN'T get up if a cat's on you. Don't you know the rules?

If anyone else is in your household they now have to do your jobs and bring you a cup of tea

CanyoubeatAI · Yesterday 16:15

It appears unanimous.. he’s settled in even more 🤗

I am outraged (much like he would be if you moved!) that you even need to ask 😄

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · Yesterday 16:35

In our household it is referred to as 'being incapussitated'.
It can take extreme forms.

It would actually be illegal to move and disturb him.

Notmytelescope · Yesterday 16:58

DH was supposed to be heading out last night. His plans were scuppered!

Yeah, it’s like 100 years in prison or something

Deservedly so!

Hard labour.

I am so jealous. Our two cats are not lap cats. Obviously YABU to even consider moving & disturbing this cat.

ScaredButUnavoidable · Yesterday 17:11

Im jealous!

I’ve had my cat for 8 months and she’s probably only say on my lap about 3 times in that period….. and two of those times were most likely because I picked her up and put her on my lap rather than her choosing to be there 😥😥

She came from a really awful background (I had her from a Rescue Centre) and I imagine thats had an impact on how she feels towards people but it does make me sad that she never wants to sit with me 😢

No idea which of us is going to cook tea tonight 😆

Awww. I would just keep lifting her up and making a fuss for so that she learns it's a good thing to do🤗🤗

Wincher · Yesterday 18:37

I’ve been stuck like this for about an hour and a half now. Luckily my son brought me a beer. Will need a phone charger soon too!

My rescue cat is incredibly nervous of every movement, sometimes even looking at her makes her nervous and she runs away, I’ve had her nearly 11 years, she has just started sitting on my lap almost daily, only for about 10-15 minutes, as soon as she really starts to relax she runs off back to sleep in her safe place.

Not a pet owner ..but love a cat pic.

DrDisrespect · Yesterday 19:59

Katja came and sat on my crossed legs in bed last night while fireworks went off. My legs went dead, I needed a wee 🙈 waited until she moved of her own accord ❤️

Bitofashock · Yesterday 20:01

Do NOT move a sleeping cat. It can result in wee in shoes or a small dead rodent on your pillow.

ilovepixie · Yesterday 20:02

I’ve got one on me too.

Ours will sit next to us, or walk over us but never sit on us.

Our female cat likes to pat us awake with the claws out !
I would not like to risk her wrath moving her Grin

Absolutely not
