Does anyone else’s cat sleep in random places?
Here’s mine who was spark out in front of a door on the landing (until I accidentally woke him up - bad slave!) It’s not in a sun beam or anything.

One of the cats like to sleep on the kids air hockey table or yunderneath the dining table or right at the top of the stairs, the other one generally sleeps on the playroom sofa, the cat tree or the cat bed. Occasionally both curl up in the cat bed together

He's no longer around but he loved sleeping in this broken terracotta pot, it was under a tree and obviously cool as it was only in summer he'd sleep there.

Currently one cat is in a cardboard box in the lounge - normal and the other is on my bed - also normal. What isn't is the bed cat sleeps on the landing square which was a problem one night. SunDog wanted to go outside to be sick but as she's scared of the cat she had to throw up on the landing instead, I couldn't get there quick enough to move the cat (who thinks she's a dog and in charge).

A non exhaustive list of places my cats have slept over the years

  • top of the boiler (in the bathroom not boxed in)
  • little shelf above the bathroom sink. About 20cm wide
  • the bannister at the top of the stairs
  • on DHs head, along the top of his pillow
  • on a pile of bags of clothes
  • under the kitchen sink

Sure, though it usually involves a box of some kind. They move from stool, box, top of cat tree, my bed, random spot in the middle of the kitchen, random spot in the hallway… even on the stairs. My boy cat dues tend to walk along and then just flop down.
