Cat sitter has overfed cat!!

We’re just back from a 2 week holiday and have found that the cat sitter has been giving at least 3 times the amount of dry food to our cat than we do!

We give him 2 tins per day (which they have done) plus a small handful of dry food (which I showed them) but when we got back yesterday evening the dry food in his bowl was enormous - at least 3 times what we give him and I don’t know how much he’d already eaten!!

He looks rather fat - he’s certainly enjoyed his all inclusive holiday!!

Oh and the immortal- I must scratch my neck on your laptop, nothing else quite does the trick...😂

It would be far worse if the sitter underfed the cat.

If you want portion control, you need to be specific and provide a measured scoop.

Actual picture of my cat when I left her with my mum to look after her - true story

as PP said I’d rather her be a bit chubby then skinny

I cat sit for a friend. The cat food is kept in a large cupboard (basically a small room) off another room. I was asked to make sure both doors were kept closed as he'll lever the doors open and gorge himself! He does his best to convince me he's starving, but I know a chancer when I see one!

Your cat has your sitter wrapped around it's paw!

Thank you. It's all true, but it's not necessarily all the same cat.
Then there's- no it's my sofa, I live here you're just the minion!

You can't work on that table I want to lie spreadeagled on it. My person bought it for that, right?

Playing involves scratching you, right? It's an integral part of having my tummy rubbed.

Of course I'm allowed out all night. What do you mean she said 'Please keep him in at night?' She'd never say that. She loves me. You, on the other hand, are just a brute.

Really I could go on. I LOVE cats and cat sitting as it happens but my god there are some fussy little tyrants out there. Biscuits? They are precious currency. Don't make us ration them! Sometimes it's all we've got! 😂

Your reports from the frontline are hilarious and ring uncomfortably true @TemporarilyCantDoMyself and I can only apologise in advance if you and Marvin ever cross paths!

The vet wants him to be 6kg, he’s 6.7kg at the minute! He is a BIG cat though, very tall

I would love him to pieces though. Those green eyes! 😍

Has the cat just not been eating it? We've been away and whilst we had a cat sitter she only had to do water and wet food as he has a biscuit robot, we still came home to a bowl piled with biscuits attached to the robot, I think it's a protest
