I have 3 that go in and out. Be wears a collar as I couldn’t find a spot on that didn’t irritate.

Ive been away 3 weeks and DS has been here. The carpets are jumping with fleas. I’ve hoovered, smoke bombed, sprayed, shampooed but they won’t go

We found one on my cat and I completely freaked out!

Read online that said don’t bother with over the counter stuff.

Got stronghold treatment from the vets and used a spray - I’ll find the link in a moment.

Touch wood, never had an issue since.

I treat mine every 4 weeks with Credelio. The only thing thats ever kept them at bay, and touch wood they do stay away.

I couldn't use spot-on's as my pair groom each other all the time

Use indorex spray everywhere and get the vet strength one for the cats. And hot wash all soft things.

I honestly didn't think they'd live for long without a red blooded host. I didn't know they'd infest carpets? You'd hope there must be a treatment specifically for carpets?

I hope they go away soon. X

Yes, use the massive cans of household flea spray from the vets or similar. Concentrate on where the carpets meet the skirting board and under furniture. Treat all the cats as well.

For the house, do it 2 or 3 times with time in-between each go (follow instructions).

Indorex is your friend. If really bad you may need to apply twice a week apart.

Thanks for the tips

the 2 that have spot on things come from the vets - it’s a week late but the number of bites and fleas I’ve seen today is unreal!

I’ve ordered indorex too - and thanks for suggesting I target by the skirting boards

All bedding and cushions are currently lined up for going in the machine

It makes me feel really grubby!

Indorex worked for us and vacuuming every single day. Also if your cat will tolerate it, you can remove a massive amount from them with a nit/flea comb. Have a glass of soapy water nearby to rinse the comb in to drown them (the fleas, not the cat...) it took about 8 weeks to get rid of them altogether. The eggs can lay dormant in the carpet for 6 months and hatch when a host is nearby. Indorex worked better than Frontline Homeguard for us.

I second Indorex it's brilliant stuff but very powerful make sure the room is well ventilated when spraying and wear a mask as it makes you sneeze! We hoover like buggery and then spray on the carpet to work it's magic
