I’m considering these for my beautiful much loved 14 year old moggy - she’s noticeably got stiffer in the last year and these seem my preference for osteoarthritis (the other option being Arthrocam liquid but that can cause kidney / liver problems - plus she is a nightmare to give medication to).

I would love to hear of others experience with these plus any other suggestions to ease osteoarthritis- have ordered some YuMove joint supplement chews at the recommendation of the vet but don’t hold out much hope of her eating these - this is a cat who has thrived for 14 years by only eating Purina One biscuits and things she catches and turning her nose up at any other suggestions!

My parents boy had it for a while. It did help him, (I thought) but they weren’t convinced. So he’s in metacam (which he absolutely loves!) and gabapentin. He seems much happier on that. And is lively and chilled out. Happy to be picked up and loved being carried around. He’s a very highly strung cat anyway so it’s made him a bit more relaxed! My parents aren’t to bothered about his kidneys as he’s very old for his breed and his quality of life is more important.

He still tells me he’s an apex predator 🙄

Thank you it’s really helpful to hear others experiences. She’s just been prescribed a week of arthrocam (along with antibiotics) after a nasty fight yesterday so will see how she is on that but getting the liquid in her mouth is a challenge!

When Harry was on metacam we put it in his food. We couldn't syringe anything into his mouth as he had hardly any teeth and it was easy to squirt it in one side and out the other!

My 16 year old cat has been on it for about a year and I would definitely recommend it. It’s been great for my cat, he’s not as stiff at all and is much happier in himself. Jumping over the fence - maybe not as good as when he was a younger cat but v v good for his age. I believe it has greatly improved his life and the only downside is the cost!!

My cat has skipped a dose (due to too many vet visits recently) and I’ve noticed a big difference. I have phoned up today for the next dose. You can inject it yourself if you get the vet to show you.
