Pill in a Dreamie possible? Ideas please!

I have a fussy, anxious cat who is going to the vets Monday. Not ill as such but dry patches round neck/ ears plus overdue vaccinations.
Getting him in basket and to vets is traumatic for him and us! So, have a Garbenton tablet (expensive aren't they!) and need to get it in him early Monday morning. He eats dry food and likes cheesy dreamies.
Should I try with first crunch of day or disect a dreamie (if that is even possible).
Any ideas welcome! Thanks.

We used to put thyroid tablets in some cream cheese. The cat knew this and when the bottle of tablets came out the cupboard he would sit by you and wait for the cream cheese. He was quite a clever cat.

I just used a pill syringe, it was easier to ensure they got it!

£13 for a single Gabapentin tablet? You're vet is ripping you off! I think I pay somewhere between £5 - 10 for 4 when Tobias has to go.

To get him properly dozy, he has as much of 2 as I can get in him the night before, then 2 about 1.5 - 2 hours before he's due to go in (they take between 1-2 hours to work)

The ones made for veterinary use are tiny, about the size of the contraceptive pill. They can be crushed easily between 2 spoons right down to powder.

I must admit to being a bit shocked by the price...

Cheese, butter and lick-e-lix all work for one of my cats... the other one is too smart to fall for any of that and it is a towel, thick gloves and lots of swearing!!

The only thing that works in the house for fleas is indorex. Don't waste money on anything else.

And make sure you are putting spot on flea treatment from the vet on your car every month.
