Electric heat pads for cats

The Stray is really struggling at the moment and her Solensia jabs aren't helping her painful joints enough in this cold/damp weather which has led me down the rabbit hole of heat pads for cats.

Can anyone recommend one that is flat, suitable for kneading cats, different temperatures? She doesn't use her multiple cat beds which is why it has to be flat and she kneads her self warming blanket so it has to be claw proof which human heated blankets aren't.

We have the one from Pet Remedy available on their website. There is a code FIRSTBUYDOGS giving a good 33% discount and free postage for new customers. It is one temperature but we've found that fine for our older cat. I put a piece of vet bed on top to protect the mat and to offer greater comfort and support.

Thank you for the vet bed tip as her favourite blanket is the white wooly fleece so it should be an easy adjustment for her. Considering she was at deaths door when we found her she is rather fussy and particular!

I also had the pet remedy one. My late girls did use it, but I think they found it too hot. I was worried about he heat it gave off at times. As it was very hot underneath. But it was fine, I gave mine away as they preferred my heated fleece throw.

We had one from pets at home that we put in our old boy's radiator hammock. It kept him snug all night when the heating wasn't on & he was much calmer in his final months. Not expensive & designed for puppies so waterproof.

I've never found that our Pet Remedy one gets too hot. They should always be used with a cover, like vet bed, a towel or blanket. As well as keeping cats warm and helping with health issues, they do seem to have a calming and comforting effect too.

In case anyone stumbles upon this thread I decided to go with this one for three reasons. It has an auto cutoff, it costs approx 1p to run and it had five temperature settings. I wrapped it in a cat blanket and tested it on my legs. Temp 3 was borderline hot so I turned it down for The Stray. Apparently temp one is purrfect and she hasn't moved off it since 😂 Thank you to everyone's input.
