Hi all
Has anyone got any recommendations of scratching pads either free standing or to attach to walls. I have indoor cats with a large cat tree which has plenty of spaces for scratching. But one cat has always had long claws which she struggles with. Gets stuck etc. V nervy so vet won't trim them. Shes trying to trim them I think on my door frames which id rather she didnt do. They had one of the cardboard scratchers byt showed no interest. Plenty of boxes. But I think she needs something more closer to floor level. There are so many options out there and some are no doubt crap. Any recommendations?
They can't go out so please dont say that.
Thank you

I’ve one of these (Gorpets Willow Scratching Post, Amazon). Not cheap but I wanted one that looked ok in my lounge.

Ooh I know the answer to this! IKEA sell the most amazing sisal mats with little straps attached that you wrap around stair rails or table legs - they are non messy and perfect for tall cats - Marvin loves his - I can't link but see screenshot attached plus in situ

My cat loves the sisal Cat Scratch Mats, I have one from amazon (Fukumaru brand) but others sell them too.

I would go for a large one with the double sided velcro tape so you can stick it down to the floor or a wall, ours is in a corner and stuck to the floor so it doesn't move at all when scratched, our cat also uses it as a rug and a toy holding area.

We've got the Ikea ones, they work on bannisters and table legs and we've got one on the bedpost too - not sure how it ended up there but it's popular.
