I have a mum and daughter combo of cats, I was wondering, very randomly, why does my cat come to me, wanting a big fuss, we're enjoying it, and then she will suddenly bite me 😂 ok fair enough, she's had enough, but shes straight back and does this over and over again, why?! Nice, bite, nice, bite 😂
My next random question, why do they after putting the food down, both start pawing, not scratching, but for a couple of mins and sometimes after too will paw at the cupboard! Just why?
Not the most pressing of matters but free to add your own random questions 😂

It could be she wants fuss but you might be overdoing it and she's now over-stimulated and she reacts by biting. Learn her body language as she will give off signals that she's getting overstimulated so you can stop stroking just before she bites.

Also some cats hate their back near their tail being touched (or paws etc). Do you start off with head and shoulder fusses then do a long back to tail stroke then get bitten?

Pawing over the food is instinct to cover their stash to prevent other predators from smelling it and coming to steal or fight. It can mean your cats are anxious about the safety of their home/territory. Do you have other cats visiting your garden and/or front door?

Is the bite hard, with full on teeth or does she just kind of take your skin in her mouth? My boy does the second and that's apparently their way of kissing you. Whether that's right or not, I choose to believe he is kissing me! 😂

Overstimulation - if you watch carefully you will see her tail start flapping before she bites, it's your cue to stop.

My boy bites me to demonstrate his love, I wish he wouldn't as it he doesn't know his own strength. However having had a real bite from him there's a difference between a love bite, an overstimulated bite and an 'I am really attacking' bite.

Ah that's really interesting about the pawing, and makes sense actually, no it's not like a full on attack at all maybe more like a warning bite lol but she's the one coming to me , she'll want again immediately after biting start trying to headbutt and get attention/stroke again, cats are confusing 😂
