Kitten not doing well all of a sudden after spay

I took my 5 month old kitten for a check up at the vets today, 4 day after her operation. She had been doing really well, until the early hours of this morning, when she started having loose stools and then a very runny poo. I told the vet this, but they were happy with her and her wound is really neat, and healing very well. She hasn’t pooed again until around 5 ish when she did a really runny poo. I now think she’s quieter than normal (from late morning today), not as purry etc. She was given pain relief after her OP (Loxicom) and the vet said to stop giving her it as it could be causing the runny poo.

Im worrying a lot and will contact the vet again if her symptoms persist, but I’m just wondering if anyone has experienced similar? The vet said it could be the pain med, or stress of the procedure.

She's probably fine, just has the poos. She'll be quieter than usual for a week or two as she just had abdominal surgery, try and imagine how you'd feel after a hysterectomy even with painkillers and imagine if you'd be as worried about diarrhea in that case to put your mind at ease. Loxicom can upset their tummies, we ask for an alternative because of upset tummies. If her wound is looking nice then you're probably out of the woods. If she doesn't firm up we use pro kolin but it's probably not necessary

Thanks. She’s perked up a bit this evening so I’m feeling reassured by that. I will continue to keep close eye on her over the next few days.
