What to do about stressed cat

We have two cats (sisters) age 13/14 - not sure exactly as rescues. One of them is a stressed girl, she paces, she goes outside and straight back in. She pees on anything that’s on the ground…towels, clothes, sometimes our bed 😩 We have lots of little trays available, access to a big garden, plug ins and she gets cystease powder in her food. What else can we do?

You're going to need to try & work out what is stressing her so much. Is there a local cat/cats who hang around in the garden, or maybe foxes? Peeing everywhere is a sign of territory marking - have a look at some Jackson Galaxy YouTube videos, he's the Cat Daddy & a total guru on unhappy cats & helping them.

You may also want to try Zylkene. It's a natural substance that comes in capsules which you break open & put on their wet food; mine love it!

@Allergictoironing I don’t think it’s territory marking I think she’s just stressed and has irritated bladder - she’s had that before and it causes her to pee everywhere. It’s solved temporarily by some anti inflammatory and keeping on with the cytease but I don’t know what else to do to help.

Where can I get cystease? My cat is also stressed and neurotic. She also gets UTIs when stressed. Fireworks do it every time.

D-Mannose is good for urinary issues - you can get it off Amazon.

Is she able to go out and roam or is it just the garden she has access to? Does she get on with her sister and do they have lots of resources to share?

Has she been spayed?
She sounds like our female cat, we’ve just had her spayed and she’s a completely different cat already and we’re not even two weeks post-op yet x

No real solution but a lot of sympathy.
We’ve not long rescued a pair of oriental cats and on getting them it was very obvious the boy is extremely anxious. We’ve ruled out medical issues for his behaviour, have tried herbal remedies (I’ve had really good results for short term anxiety with rescue remedy) and zylkene, l-tryptophan and at least 3 brands of plug-ins. Some things worked for a few weeks but then something would set him off - one time it was a sparrow siting on the wall in front of him, and we’d be back to square one.
Next step is a referral to a behavioural therapist, I’m not sure what I’m hoping for - some ideas on how to reduce his stress or recommendation for prescription medication.
We love him dearly but I’m very tired of having puppy pads everywhere around the house.

We use Vince the Vets bladder drops for our two boys who get stress cystitis and it has almost completely eliminated it. Healthful Pets online seems the cheapest with delivery

If it is anxiety, one of them also had anti anxiety meds prescribed from the vet which also helped to break the cycle

Thanks everyone, it is cystease from Amazon we use which helps to an extent but something will set her off (my daughter being away overnight- peeiing on her bed for example). We really need to consider what to do next. I hate seeing her so stressed, she paces a lot and doesn’t settle until early evening. Not fair on her really as we do have a busy household. Will call vet and see what they say
