My 5 month old kitten has run off on his leash while my husband was outside with him. Near to home but he's not been out of the garden before and we can't find him anywhere :( We've only had him since January and are totally in love with him. Have we lost him :(

He’s lovely but stop depriving him of his natural instincts…lead 🙄

Oh he’s absolutely gorgeous. He looks a handful as well 😀

He’s a spoilt little kitty! He’s our baby and yup he’s a menace too😂

Here is little Marley!

Thanks everybody for your kindness❤️x

Ahh what a mischievous little poppet!!
I’m so glad he’s some safe and sound OP x

OP - look into a GPS tracker. The new tractive mini is small and my dainty* petite girl wears it no problem. The subscription costs about £60/year per cat if you pay biannually.

*In body only. She's a risk-loving adventrer and the single most confident cat I've ever met in my life.

Marvellous news @Khanny , the stress you and your hubby went through must have been awful, so glad the little rascal is back safe and sound! I hope you weren't too hard on your hubby as it sounds like he was devastated and didn't stop looking till he found Marley 😻

Agree @faerietales . I think a lot of the harnesses you can get are soft fabric which are much stretchier and easy to wriggle out of. Also at the risk of sounding patronising there is a protocol to walking a cat, which we had training in. Basically the golden rule is always to walk behind them - the opposite to what you do with a dog and let them control the direction and speed of the walk. The more you try and direct them, via the lead, the more likely it is they will try and wriggle out of the harness. If you need them to change direction then bend down and put them where you want them to go rather than trying to lead them somewhere. Basically you want them to forget they're on a lead!
