Neighbours and cat poo

Cat has taken to pooing on neighbours grass, initially spoke to me about it.
Not much we can do but I brought one of the things you stick in the ground, it helped. Think it ran out of battery a while ago, cat pooing on grass again.
Neighbour not approached me, instead has been picking up poo and putting it in our bins (not the correct bin...recycling or garden waste).
And now has been throwing it onto our drive, putting it infront of house and car doors.

To think they should buy more of the things you stick in the ground if they are that bothered about it.
What would you do?

Your cat, so perhaps you should offer to buy the things that stick in the ground and to replace the batteries when necessary.

Why didn't you replace the batteries?

Get the cat an outdoor litter tray to use.

ExpensiveDecoration · 31/12/2024 08:24

Does your cat have litter trays and an outdoor area in your garden she can use, eg freshly dug soil regularly cleaned? Also you could offer to change the batteries in the lawn thing regularly.

Hate irresponsible cat owners. Just move it,every day.

Those battery noise machines are a complete menace. A lot of people can actually hear them, they hurt my ears. Children can hear them too as they hear higher pitches.

What you actually want is the cat to consider the neighbours house part of its territory and then it won't poop there. We had a neighbour cat that pooped constantly in our garden, after I made friends with it, it's stopped.

Get over there and start picking up the pop yourself. Not difficult is it.

Viviennemary · 31/12/2024 09:21

Your cat so your responsibility to take action.

Babadookinthewardrobe · 31/12/2024 09:26

I’d offer to replace the batteries and also buy them some other repellant eg citrus or tiger poo products.
If they continue to moan after that I’d just ignore them. You’ll have done all you can and your cat has a right to roam. Some neighbours will never be happy unless your cat never enters their garden which is impossible unless you restrict them to the house.

It's your cat, so surely you should be the one to buy the batteries and replacements?
