Just posting for a bit of advice, my 2 year old indoor Persian was sick yesterday, I thought it was a hairball as he is extremely fluffy. However he then refused his dinner last night which is most unlike him. I offered him a can of tuna this morning as he usually can’t resist, but he wasn’t interested. I tried him with fresh chicken this afternoon and he wouldn’t eat that either, but he did eat a few dreamies. This evening I gave him a churro pop ( a bit like a licky lick) and he ate it, I was so relieved and gave him another. Unfortunately he has just puked them back up. He is still making biscuits on his blanket but isn’t playing or yelling at me for food, it’s just so unlike him. I’m going to give the vet a call in the morning.

Is he drinking water?
I would call the vets in the morning too.

Is he using the litter tray as normal (for pees and poos)? I'd be worried about some sort of blockage if not.

Hope the vet is able to advise you tomorrow.

Yes still pooing and weeing, I never see him drink much to be honest but he must do as I change his water twice a day and it goes down. He looks alert he doesn’t look dozy or anything but he’s not right. Just confuses me how an indoor cat can get a bug but they obviously can. Will be calling the vet first thing

Definitely vets in the morning unless he perks up. Prison's are really tricky to spot when they are unwelll. Well, mine have been. Can we have a pic OP?

Trip to the verts definitely recommended. Have you got Christmas decorations up? Baubles, real tree etc? My cats are forever chewing on festive accoutrements. Could be tinselitis.

Thanks for all the replies. Happy to report that he is much better! He shouted at me for his breakfast, just gave him a small amount which he ate and kept down. He’s had a tuna loin too and drank some water, he’s also had the zoomies! So relieved. Cat tax added.

So cute!

Fluffy! Do you give him hairball food or paste? If not I would consider it - long haired cats can get hairballs which usually pass or cough up, but can cause blockages. Would be my first concert with a long haired cat off food.

I don’t to be honest, he’s brushed twice a day but I think I till try something like that too, thank you!
