How much does your cat eat?

We recently got a rescue cat approx 11-12 months old. He is SO hungry all the time - we feed him 3 pouches of Felix doubly delicious as that’s what the foster lady had been doing. He devours these within literal seconds each time. He follows us around all the time tripping us up desperate for food. We did once early on give him an extra pouch and some more dry food but the next day he was sick which I put down to overeating?
is it Normal for cats to be that hungry / greedy?! And is the sick likely to be caused by over feeding or should I increase to 4 pouches a day?

Just to say, also loves Felix DD, perhaps it is the MacDonalds of the cat world! He won't eat anything else.

The weather turning has awoken the appetite of our boy cat who is seriously worried he doesn't have enough blubber to keep him warm over the long cold winter ahead. He's knocking 6kg already and will do nothing over the winter bar lounge on the sofa in front of the fire, so it's a totally misplaced concern, yet one he feels very troubled by at the moment.
