Anyone tried KatKin?

I've been seeing their adverts all over my Instagram, and it sounds really good -- especially since they updated the food recently I think? It looks really meaty.

I have three DCats, one of whom is allergic to wheat (he loses all of his hair if he eats it) and the other two are getting on a bit, so I'd really like to get them on the best food I can. They've been fine on Felix but KatKin just looks so much better. And there are some great reviews. But I don't think I've ever seen a fresh cat food before. Any experiences?

For example, I can put something in my basket on Ebay, and I will be prevented from checking out.

But I can order the exact same thing from a different seller, and there's no problem.

There's also sometimes a surcharge for delivering stuff to us, although we live on a main road which starts in Glasgow.
It's maddening.

I don't think it's an error though.
Certain postcodes which start PA are rejected by a lot of companies.

For some reason they think the Kintyre Peninsula is an island. Which it isn't.

Oh I see. That is very annoying. Maybe katkin can add in a few steps to their delivery form to at least check further for mainland delivery. So they could override any automatic postcode shut downs. As a start up company they are very keen to cater to all customers so I'm sure if you was to contact them they would accommodate you. (Should you wish to do a trial box/order)

Just had a read after pp mentioned untamed no longer being made in the UK, that was a sneaky amendment so have cancelled my subscription.

My cat loves katkin. Her tummy troubles are much better and she is unbelievably glossy.

AltitudeCheck · 05/07/2024 18:56

Another Katkin fan here! The standard trial off is 20% off but refer a friend gives 50% off next box for us both

We switched to it as needed grain free and good quality when our boy had an IBD flare. We used the pork flavour as it is single protein source and have been able to slowly reintroduce other flavours now he's well again.

Photo of his gorgeous fluffy tummy for cat tax! (Excuse the mess!)

Mine loved it

AppleDumplingWithCustard · 05/07/2024 19:16

Mine wouldn’t touch the food but I highly recommend Katkin Scoop cat litter. It’s amazing and you get absolutely zero smells.

Just wanted to come back and add that after reading this thread I cancelled untamed given they make in Thailand now and I wasn't aware.,

Ordered a 2 week trial of KatKin and dare I say it we've not only had clean bowls but no buggering about at the crack of dawn.

Seems they only really like the Cluck and Gobble, so now we've got our first full month's order at the cost of a kidney they go off it. Thanks for starting this thread op!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 04/08/2024 00:37

Our cat ate it for the first few meals, then wouldn’t touch it. He does like the chicken sprinkles they sent as a freebie. We have loads of it in the freezer which I will end up chucking.

Sorry to revive an old thread but I just got Katkin delivered in the hope it will make my cat feel fuller for longer and ergo eat less (yes I could feed him less but I can't stand the whining). Does it make cats fat? I really need him to lose some weight

You can change the tray sizes, my curvy cat is on less than the other and she's slowly losing the excess which is good. We had to get new microchip feeders though to stop her troughing his.

My cat used to be on Katkin (before he changed onto a renal diet).

I found it excellent,he ate it all and didn’t moan for food constantly,it really was filling for him.
