Important (and sad) announcement regarding TC

I’m really very sorry to announce that our NDN (TC’s Dad) is moving away.
Without going into too much detail his marriage broke up a little while ago and his children are now in Australia, but the final nail in the coffin is that his landlord is demanding the house back. As a result of all of this he is moving back to his native Germany.
While he’s able to take the dogs, the flat he is moving to and his expected work patterns means that he can’t take TC and give him the life he deserves
So…
If any of TC’s admirers would like an ‘opportunity’ to take him on (before he gets taken to Battersea Old Windsor), we’d be interested to hear from you. We'll obviously ask lots of questions to ensure that any offers are serious about TC's needs.
TC needs unfettered access to outdoor space, and an experienced cat owner (and understanding neighbours).

Were someone from MN to take him on, it would be nice to think that his escapades would continue to be documented on the site.
Oh – and his real name is Gizmo. - Gizzi to his friends.

Never did I imagine TC’s real name would be Gizmo. I really do hope he finds a loving new home.

I thought it was going to be Stripes. My brother’s cat was called Gizmo.

I wish I could take him as we only have one cat now. Unfortunately I don’t think Sodcat would take too kindly and although he is an utter Sod - woke me up from an afternoon doze by using my legs as a scratching post - he needed a stroke apparently! He is my gorgeous sod and I wouldn’t want to stress him out.

I am so happy to hear there is a queue of people wanting to take TC. I really hope one of them proves to be able to offer a suitable loving home.

Oh ThugCat! You will be so missed. But I'm relieved that your bad news wasn't REALLY bad news about him - and I really do hope you find someone who's up to the challenge of managing him.

This is sad news indeed but he has the right champions to find him the best home. Nice to finally learn his real name!

I am really sorry to read this. It must be so hard for TC's Dad and TC (Gizmo). No wonder none of us ever guessed TC's real name.

I definitely wouldn't be a good enough cat wrangler to manage TC but really hope he finds a new home.

I’m sorry to hear this. It must be hard on everyone. What about contacting Bengal Cat rescue. They are quite a special breed and TC particularly so.

He isn't a purebred Bengal cat. He is reputed to have some Bengal in him (and he certainly exhibits some of the behaviours) but he's really a tabby cat with attitude.

They do take mixes, I’ve seen them advertised.

He can live with dogs which is a huge plus for him.

Do keep updating us on his finding a home progress, it sounds like he's well sorted with his queue of hopefuls but if nothing comes through it would be helpful to know to ask a couple of friends and family members if they could take him.

TC (Gizmo) is going on a long road trip today. I did go and say goodbye to him - he bit me almost tenderly.
Fingers crossed that his new home works out for him - I'm sure there will be updates later today or tomorrow.
Is this the last sight I'll have of him? Packed up and ready to go?

Oh Grumpy, hugs to you all. You and TC have kept so many of us entertained for a long time. I hope the "poor little mite" is happy in his new home and that you, Mrs G, TC's dad, all get updates from TC so you know he's doing well.

Hi everyone. I'm sure you'll be glad about this.

TC is coming to live in Scotland with us...........and Linney (not to mention Picard, Suzy and assorted random cats).

He's on his way. Mr SB and I are going to collect him along the route, when he gets nearer to our house.

I'll keep you all updated.

I'm not ashamed to admit I may have cried a little at this lovely news. I won't @ you Grumpy and Shell as you'll be getting tonnes of notifications but love to you both (and TC Dad)
