Neighbour bully cat

Hi
what to do about neighbours bully cat who is hurting my little cat constantly? He hurts her so much that she has left home for several days at a time. He has also sprayed on the cat flap and been in the house eating her food. She’s terrified and about half the size of him. Neighbours don’t care- tell us cat is neutered which I don’t believe. He is a farm cat so quite wild and runs whenever he sees us coming so can’t get him with the hose pipe.

Is a catio an option so yours can go outside, but feel safe, and so neighbours cat can’t then get near your door?

We essentially had to move house when we were in this situation, and place the cat in a witness protection programme.

I hope that doesn’t sound unsympathetic. It is a horrible thing to be happening.

Can we trap the cat and get it neutered? It’s basically half feral anyway- no way does it go into their house

It's probably illegal and you'd have to make sure the cat wasn't microchipped.
Unfair as it may be, your best option is making sure your cat is safe outside. Eg cat proof fencing or a catio

We had a similar situation - it's tricky but one thing that helped was having a microchip catflap. It meant that our cat could get in but the bully cat couldn't. Our cat very quickly realised this & knew he could run to safety whenever bully cat showed up. Sureflap is the brand we have & have been very pleased with it.

I seriously don’t think it’s microchipped. It’s very much an “outside in the barns” half feral thing. If they haven’t bothered to neuter it I can’t believe it’s microchipped

So sorry about your poor little cat, if your neighbours really don't provide care for the bully, could you take it to a shelter as a stray?
Otherwise a catio as others have suggested?
