Apologies for the not so great photos but he wouldn’t stay still…
We noticed today our cat has a few wounds and im unsure if we need to do anything?
One of the wounds had some kind of pus but that’s not gone.
Hes okay in himself but they don’t look great.

I wouldn’t be too worried about them. You could clean them with something like hibiscrub or saltwater and put some savlon or something on it. But I’d just keep an eye on it for a bit.

Vet nurse here ,looks possibly like bite wounds , if you do nothing then highly likely to become abscess due to type of bacteria in cats , you may be able to prevent this from happening.
Clip fur from around the wounds then clean up to 3 x daily with hibiscrub diluted in plenty of water or a good pinch of salt in warm water , if you can see a scab even if its small try to remove it to open any puncture wounds then bathe them.
Sometimes it takes a few days after a bite for an infection to be noticeable so keep checking , it may be a good idea to see a vet anyway depending on the severity of the wounds but definitely see a vet if the cat becomes unwell ,they can get septicaemia from bite wounds in rare circumstances .

Thank you. We don’t have any hibbiscrub so will bathe in warm salt water. In regards to the scabs one of them is quite big - about a 20p piece size how would you remove that? Would it be ok to wait until Tuesday to see a vet if he’s well in himself?

@tsmainsqueeze also before we realised he had these wounds he had some bloody pus is that a sign of infection? There is no pus now

I would take to vet for those, you really don't want them turning into giant abscesses.

(I'm pretty sure vets/vet nurses shouldn't be giving medical advice for an animal they haven't seen)

I’m not one for rushing animals off to the vet. Cat bites do often get infected so keep close eye on it and see how it goes. It may need antibiotics.
Had a cat once who had a puncture wound on his back that turned into an abscess and we only noticed because of the smell and it was a Sunday afternoon. Cleaned it up with hibi scrub and gave it a spray with antibiotic spray (a livestock product) and took the cat the next day to the vets. He got a long acting antibiotic injection and it all healed fine.

When I took my cat to the vet with a similar wound, except that it had crusted over and smelt horrible, she took the scab off and said it was fine and that cat's immune systems are really good at eliminating the bacteria. I think she did give me something just in case to put on it, but it seems like it would have healed fine anyway.
