Investigation vs pre existing condition

Took cat for her yearly check up, vet found she had lost some weight and her heart was too fast. We paid out £300 in blood tests - all came back clear. Turns out she hadn’t lost weight at all it was an error on their system, and the faster heart may be down to stress. When going for insurance now, would this be deemed pre-existing? She hasn’t actually been diagnosed with anything but is an older cat now so wary of not being covered if I don’t declare the investigation itself. Thank you

Tell them. No point in paying any premium, however tiny, if they later refuse your claim. Email them saying what you've told us, keep a copy. All it suggests is that you are being proactive in keeping her healthy so I doubt that will ring their risk alarm bells

I've never declared anything I wasn't planning to claim for and I've never once been denied payment.

All pre-existing means is that if you've ever seen the vet for X before taking out the policy, X won't be covered by the insurance company.
