Anyone experienced a brain tumour in their cat?

After months of odd behaviours and several vet appointments, my 9 yr old cat has recently started having seizures, blood tests have ruled out everything else and vet thinks it’s a brain tumour, will need an MRI to get a full diagnosis.

Can anyone give me any info from their experiences of this with their cat?

Just bumping your post. Hopefully someone will have a reply for you. Our old cat had a suspected brain tumor but her symptoms were much more severe and they advised euthanasia because of her age (18) and as she was going downhill so fast. She couldn't move one side of her body and her body temp was very low.

Honestly? I wouldn’t put the cat through all this. I would have him pts at this point.

Unfortunately I went through this last year with my 8 year old cat. He didn't have seizures but was very non descript to start with, which went downhill very quickly to not being able to walk without falling over. He had a referral to neurology, and a CT scan. He had to have emergency treatment due to the pressure in his brain, which made him way better for a while, but he started to go downhill again rapidly and 2 weeks after diagnosis I had him PTS. There was a surgical option offered, but it was around 10k and wouldn't have been covered by his insurance as id already maxed it out. It's a horrible situation to be in

Thanks everyone, vet says she’s doing well and could ‘go on for years’ if they can control the seizures, she seems pretty content most of the time, a bit slow and sleeping lots but that’s what cats do so well, I almost wish the symptoms were more severe so it would be easier to make the decision to pts.
