On route to the vet now! (DH driving). Tip of tail skinned and part of bone with it, so tail is bleeding. Worried sick about what they will do to her tail :( she went cold and was silent, not a peep, but she's now crying in the car as she normally does when going to the vet for annual check up etc.

Time for door guards!!!

That’s great , perhaps try one of the inflatable collars instead of a cone

QueenOfTheKing · 16/01/2024 16:55

Shes home ❤️ off to sleep for a bit before meds then a quiet next 10 days. Poor wee tail.

Oh poor sweetheart! But she will recover.
Also, how's your toddler OP? S/he must be upset to some extent and not sure what they've done wrong? Hope s/he's ok.

HoHoHoliday · 16/01/2024 17:01

She's absolutely beautiful! Hope she recovers quickly 💜

Sweet puss

LauderSyme · 16/01/2024 17:14

Your cat is gorgeous, am loving her fluffy tabby tummy fur 😍 Poor wee puss though, having to go through this. Very best wishes to her - and you - for a speedy recovery.

catelynjane · 16/01/2024 17:21

Aww, bless her! I'm sure she'll be back to her usual mischief soon.

QueenOfTheKing · 16/01/2024 17:32

Thanks all for the well wishes for Darcy - wee fright for her. She's away with the fairies so hopefully will sleep after she has her meds in a mo.

@heldinadream toddler not aware of what's happened so he's still running about wild.

Also another update - Amazon delivered the door guards earlier and they're on 😮‍💨

Awww bless her she's had a tough start of the week! Hopefully she had a good nights sleep and more herself soon.

Floralnomad · 17/01/2024 17:24

How is she getting on today @QueenOfTheKing

QueenOfTheKing · 17/01/2024 18:54

@Floralnomad she's still a bit groggy. She's currently eating her dry food but avoiding her fave wet food as she knows I've mixed her medicine drops in the gravy lol.

She had me up at 5:30am for lots of cuddles. Giving her some cone free time but she keeps going for her tail

How is she getting on now @QueenOfTheKing , has she stopped bothering her tail ?

QueenOfTheKing · 19/01/2024 20:43

@Floralnomad she was back at the vet yesterday as she'd pulled her stitches, but today I nipped out for literally 5 minutes so she was sleeping with her cone on, came back and the cone was some how off and she'd chewed the loose bits of her stitches...!!! Skin still bonded closed and keeping an eye on them

She certainly is determined to get at it then , hope she behaves over the weekend .

itstooearlytobeawake · 20/01/2024 04:55

Oh no! Hopefully few more days and she'll be healed enough for it to come off

She looks so depressed when she's wearing it, it's such a shame :(

@QueenOfTheKing

i was just wondering how she's getting on now, poor wee thing x

QueenOfTheKing · 02/04/2024 13:05

@NearlyBritishSummertimeYay

She's absolutely fine :) fur has almost grown in on the tail, but other than that, you wouldn't know!

She avoids toddler at all costs now though lol!!
