After sadly losing our elderly cat last week the house felt very lonely. We contacted a local rescue centre that are overwhelmed with cats. We visited and fell in love with two 8 month old boys. Never had this age before but they have brought joy to our house. Lots of learning how to look after them it's like having toddlers in the house they follow us every where and are finally starting to sleep a bit more.
I want to get flea treatment delivered monthly directly to the house can anyone recommend a good company who do this. Also what recommendations for worming I'm not sure I want to put a tablet into their mouths. Are there such things as granules to sprinkle on food.
Thanks in advance

So sorry for your loss 💐

It sounds like your new boys are lucky to have a lovely new home and are settling well. We get flea and worming treatment all in one from the vet in pipette form. It lasts 12 weeks which I think is around £25 a go. It's called Bravecto. I'm sure you can buy online.

Thanks for this. We've just registered with the vets. They recommended a prescription flee treatment needs a consultation first which is £49 then treatment of 3 treatments at around £35. Worming tablets at £3.50 each.
Think the rescue centre used frontline treatment.

I use a spot on one that has both flea and worm treatment. Prescription ones are definitely the best, as many fleas have become resistant to even the better over the counter ones.

You'll find it very hard to get a vet to prescribe flea/worm treatments without seeing the cat(s) at least once and weighing them - the dosage is very dependent on weight. But a decent vet will probably sell you a prescription which you can get filled by an on-line pet pharmacy, which I think works out a bit cheaper.

You can buy frontline and advantage online. Also Dronspot spot on wormer. I buy from pet drugs online who are reliable and much cheaper than buying from the vets. E.g a box of 4 Advantage (so 2 months for your two cats) is around £10.

How does a spot on wormer work I thought it would have to go into their stomachs in tablet form to work properly?

@Isabella40 I don't know how it works but it does! Absorbs through skin?
