I am being paid for my servitude in worms

How do I explain cash is preferred? Is my kitten broken? Birds, rodents and frogs were the norm from our elderly cat in her hay day, never worms. Payment was infrequent but 'standard'. Every day we are given another wriggly plump earthworm. He doesn't eat them (they are clearly only a suitable food for lesser creatures, such as humans), just dumps it in front of us and waits to be thanked. He did branch out a bit last week and mixed things up with a moth, but otherwise it's just worms...

No, we don't feed the birds. I'd feel terrible if they got caught having encouraged them in with food.

All shoes are kept shut in the porch, so thankfully no squelchy shoes!

We've had a slowworm brought in, the two ends hanging out of each side of his mouth like a bad panto moustache....

Mine brings in worms too. Every time it rains! Snails too.

Previous cats brought birds & mice but current cats are restricted to a catio, so worms it is.

Birds. If you look between his feet you'll also see a rat's pelvis that I hadn't noticed. We live in the country, so no lack of wildlife for our brave hunter

My cat is a champion frog catcher and brings me several every week during the summer but is still finding them in December. He doesn't kill them - he just deposits them on the floor and pats them. He clearly gets great satisfaction watching them hop.

My old cats used to do that current one luckily I don’t think she bothers.

Old cat when he was 1.5 years old brought in his first frog from garden when I was on my way to work and with its pale belly up it looked like a leaf!

The thing I don’t like about frogs is the scream they can emit.

Mine is an old lady now so not as adept a hunter as she once was, but she has brought us bats on several occasions. Alive, so they find somewhere to roost in the house during the day and then venture out at dusk to scare the crap out of us.

Mine caught a butterfly, ate it, and then cried because he wanted it back Confused
