I know this has been done before sorry... cat missing for a few days, very unusual. I'm doing all the usual things but are there recommended lost pets websites to use... there seem to be a few on a google search but am in a tizz and I don't know which are ok to use. Thank you x

If you are on FB then local community groups are a good place to start. I hope kitty is home soon

Are they chipped? Especially if not contact local cat rescues and vets.

Another vote for the local facebook groups.
When we moved one of ours went a-wandering for over a week. Someone spotted him about a mile away, and we went and got him.
Quite a few false alerts, obviously, but worth it!

Otherwise the advice we were given was to stick their litter tray outside (if they have one). Apparently they can smell it from aways!

Good luck with your search.

They usually come back,@allnewname .
Try your local SM groups. Facebook, Nextdoor, Pets Lost and Found. Ask local vets.

I hope you have a good clear photo of your cat. I have a tabby and when yours is missing they all look the same.

Thank you for suggestions. I'm flooding Facebook, putting up posters etc. he's chipped and I've flagged with local vets. Fingers crossed.

Post leaflets through letterboxes on your street and around asking people to check their sheds, sometimes cats get accidently shut in.
Facebook groups.
Going in your garden, rattling dreamies or food at night, the sound carries and a nervous but nearby missing cat maybe tempted out by hunger and the cover of darkness.

If they use a litter tray, pop it outside along with some of your clothes and their bedding so they can scent their way home.

Two of mine have gone walkabout over the years - one we found in next doors garage after I went out with Dreamies at 10pm and called him and he (eventually) responded. He was hid behind a broken lawnmower and DH had to scramble in and get him.

The other one was in a neighbours garden hiding in a bush - I had to team up with said neighbour by asking her to poke the cat with a stick while I stood at the other side waiting to grab her with some cheese!
