Hi all.

My little boy has had stomach issues since we had him turned out he had campylobacter from the breeder giving him a raw food diet. He's had 2 lots of antibiotics and the old in his stool has stopped. Vet thinks he will now have IBD and he stills has the runs
It varies in texture throughout the day. He's on Royal canin GI wet food and I have just started giving him cooked chicken breast for a few days to see if that will help.

I have comes across untamed cat food and looks to be high protein and maybe even carbon free which would be good for him as he is a Scottish fold (straight)

Has anyone else used or use this food. Is.is really low carb?

@Jardineesaid he's been on prokolin for pre/probiotics and he was on erythromycin antibiotics before. Now he's on veraflox antibiotics

@Slowlylosingmymind101 thank you so much. The reason I ask is I'm trying to find an alternative for prokolin and seems like the antibiotics you had is different than what we had.

What virus or infection does your little one have? Mine has campylobacter (like salmonella) erythromycin is the first choice for this but it didn't clear it completely so we are trying this one now. @Jardineesaid

@Slowlylosingmymind101 they don't know, the fecal sample was negative but the symptoms won't go away so it's a mystery. At sold point they did she had ibs.

Aww poor poppet. Mine is on royal canin gastrointestinal food. Have you tried that? @Jardineesaid

@Slowlylosingmymind101 I started her on that a week ago along with the prescribed antibiotics and steroids as well as prokolin and i can see improvement. I am just nervous once all the meds finish. she seems to be having loose stool as soon as i reduce or stop the prokolin that's why i am looking for something more long-term to help stabilize her back to normal.

@Jardineesaid prokolin is pre and probiotics and he might just need that going forward. I don't think you need to take him off it really. Ask your vet though

Hi. My Siberian kitten has had tummy troubles since we got him. Had stool sample tested - came back normal. Tried so many different foods you wouldn’t believe (although that didn’t help as it may have upset him further!). We tried Untamed and he LOVED it, but unfortunately his tummy didn’t. We tried twice, swapping him back onto his usual food and then going gradually but yet again his runs came back! Anyway, after all the trial foods, including the very expensive RC Sensitivity, the one and only food he has had normal poos on is Blink! No idea why, but his tummy just settles almost immediately! He is also on Wainwrights dry food too, the fish one. Just thought it might be worth a try with Blink as it did wonders for us - we could have been on a vet’s diet for months, even though it wasn’t actually helping at all! He’s now full of energy and gaining weight better.
