Keeping cats in the garden

I recently had a massive vet bill for one of my 2 cats following a meeting qith a car (we think). The other cat is blind and only goes in the garden but loves it.
I dont want to make him and his brother stay in the house permanently but I want to avoid the advenurous one going further. Our back garden is enclosed so we used pet protect type mesh with brackets on top of 6ft fence but despite generally positive reviews it took him only a couple of days to learn to get over. Does anyone have any better suggestions?

A Catio?

The fence needs to be angled inwards by a certain number of degrees otherwise they can just scale it.

Was it the type that Protectapet sell? I've never heard of a DCat getting out of those.

DH just built outs a catio though out of some old wood and chicken wire. It wasn't the most attractive of things but kept the old DCats safe.

Our Siamese have a large catio , I wouldn’t trust fencing as agile cats can get over it . A friends British blue managed to get out of their cat proofed garden but then couldn’t get back in so she had to take it down .

Coyote rollers.

I relate to getting over but not back (a couple of days of miaowing at the front door before getting it). And he does only get over at one point near the gate I think. Looks like I need a catio and or earplugs for the racket when keeping the cats in 😂
