Neighbourhood cats?

So our kitten Blossom 5.5 months old and we’ve been given the all clear from the vet to let her start going out. After a week or so of staying out with her and keeping her in the garden, she is now exploring a little further and spending time outside alone.

Today it feels like all the neighbourhood cars came to watch … at one point there were three cats all sat watching her. Should I be worried? Will they attack? They are much bigger! She only really interacted with one male cat. They were sniffing each other, sat or laid looking at each other and a little paw action but nothing much. No hissing or screeching - they followed each other lots and both were quite ‘jumpy’ of the other came too close. Both kept turning to keep an eye on the other.

I’m really worrying. She’s much smaller than them and I’m not sure if the body language is aggressive or friendly. I’ve popped some pictures up for you guys to see. In one of the pictures, you can see the other two cats observing from a bit further back.

Any thoughts/advice to stop me worrying?

She’s joining the gang

Thank you but how do I know if it’s friendly or not … they did kind of paw swipe at each other here and there….

I think she's making friends! The bigger cat sat on the BBQ has his back to her so I don't think feels particularly aggressive towards her. When our new rescue started going out into the garden there was certainly a fair bit of interest from the local cats, they still chase each other 4 months on, and there is definitely a bit of 'showboating' going on, but no actual attacking. If one gets a bit close, they just chase each other off. I'm sure she'll be fine.

It looks friendly to me - but ultimately if you let her out to roam, there's not really anything you can do to prevent her from getting into fights. Keeping her in at night is probably sensible but otherwise cats will be cats!

If she’s spayed it’s ok. Our Bengal palled up with two cats as a youngster who taught him how to stay out precisely 10 minutes after being called rather than coming in straightaway.
