How can I disguise a tablet for a clever cat?

I've bought pill pockets, I have tried crushing them and hiding them in his food.
I have tried a 'pet introducer' but he's a very big strong boy and took exception to this even with me and DH working together. With my other cats I can just give them tablets in the back of their mouth if ever they needed it.

He needs daily tablets for the rest of his life so I need to come up with something.

What haven't I tried?

check with your vet before crushing - with some tablets it changes the way they're absorbed.

That's interesting. There's no other way I'd get them into my dog otherwise though.

Our cat's thyroid meds can't be crushed or chewed

Chicken or pilchard paste?

The stuff you had for sandwiches when your backgrounds lower wc. That stuff.
