Cats tooth issue

We have a little cat who we think is about 5. She’s a rescue. She is the most adorable little thing and we are all so in love with her. We went our today and she looked fine. When we came home we noticed it looked like her lip was stuck but on closer inspection it looks like she’s hurt her tooth 😢. She’s eating and drinking as normal and seems to be ok if a little more subdued. When I touched the affected bit of her mouth she hissed and went under the bed but has since come out. We have pet plan and are hoping to get her an emergency vet appointment tomorrow but just looking for any advice if anyone’s experienced anything similar? Picture of her mouth attached.

Oh no. Poor thing. I hope it’s nothing too serious (or too expensive!) She is such a cutie, I hope you can get her seen asap.

Thank you for replying. I spoke to the vet yesterday and they’ve booked her in for Saturday when my other half can take her in the car as I’d have to take her on two buses which would distress her even more. She’s eating and drinking as normal and has gone back to being very social and cuddly. I just hope she’ll be ok as we’d all be heartbroken if it was something sinister, I’ve terrified myself with google!

I'm not sure if it's any reassurance, my cat has had to have quite a few teeth out as she has FORL. For her it's genetic and there's no real prevention so once a year(ish) off she goes to get another tooth out. But she manages fine with the teeth she has and she is much happier when she is pain free without the tooth. If the tooth is causing your cat pain and the vet thinks it needs to come out, it is worth it. She'll be much happier afterwards.
