Bulk decent cat food

We now have 4 cats who are currently eating leading brand pouches and a grain free dry food. I would like to move them over to a better quality wet food. My dog owning friends get fresh, frozen wet food delivered in large tubs (1kg) and defrost it and weigh it out as needed. Is there anything similar for cats? I’ve googled and can only find things like katkin which comes in tiny pouches or the raw food companies (immune suppressed people in the house so I’m reluctant to use raw).

The other option is tinned food from zooplus etc. Is there any nutritional benefit of fresh over tonnes (tinned easier to store!). Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

No suggestions I'm afraid, but you know exactly what will happen if you buy in bulk!

I have 4 cats and bulk buy from zooplus. Mine have Carny tinned wet food and Smilla dry food.

Based on the stated ingredients they're both better than a lot of supermarket stuff and cats seem to be ok on both.

One has a delicate stomach but the farts of death haven't happened since they started on these foods so I'm hoping they're ok.

It's a bit of a nightmare finding reasonably priced, reasonable quality food so please feed back if you find anything miraculous!

My cats eat a tin of Aldi cat food between them in the morning and another tin in the evening. They share a large chicken breast twice a week and an occasional tin of tuna in fresh spring water. They are not keen on crunchies.

Have you thought about raw? You can get a cheap mincer and do it yourself , not sure what percentage of meat, bones you need but worth thinking about

I’ve thought about it but we have an immune suppressed person in the house. Friend uses raw dog food and it’s eaten as soon as the bowl touches the floor then quickly washed up. My cats are grazers and leave the food all round the bowl on the floor so I’m concerned about the hygiene of it for us in particular.

I can't buy anything in bulk because my cats will decide they don't like it after two tins/pouches. They literally turn their noses up. Im surprised they aren't starving to death.
They are quite keen on eating rats though. I wonder if I can buy them in bulk.

I've tried lots of good priced grain free options from Zooplus - the only one that she ate a large pack of, then decided she hated when it arrived was Bosita.
She likes Carny, mentioned above, Wild Freedom in a favourite, and she adores Cosma, but it's a supplementary food so she doesn't have it all the time.
She also likes the amazingly named Animonda vom Feinsten.

They learn they don't get long to eat, due to bacteria building up, it can't be left down and shouldn't be mixed with kibble.
