How quick can cats get pregnant again after giving birth?

We have recently moved and are living next door to a family who are not very good on their breeding ethics.

They have very obviously bred their dog. More than once if her nipples are any indication and they currently have two litters of kittens. 8 kittens between two mothers. None of the cats are de-flead either. And they aren’t posh looking cats. Just common moggies, so it looks like they just let them out and they come home pregnant.

Anyway, I saw one cat yesterday and before I knew she already had kittens, I asked if she was pregnant because her belly was huge!!

She laughed and said no she has kittens already. They are around 6-10 weeks. She doesn’t know exactly. That’s how bad it is.

She has a home for two of the kittens. And that’s it. So what’s the chance mama is pregnant again? High I’m guessing? She honestly did not look like a nursing queen.

Probably already pregnant again, it's only 4 weeks.

I really can’t get involved. Selfish of me, I’m fully aware of it, but I am living in a temporary housing from the council and I can’t do anything that would cause complaints to reach the offices. I have two children to think of

Cats protection league can help out with cost regarding spaying and neutering.

We have our own cat. She’s currently in a cattery right now. I didn’t want to stress her with the moving about as we’ve just had a week in a motel too.

she’s going to come here in a couple
of days and we are going to make sure she remains an indoor cat. She was pretty much an indoor cat anyway so it won’t be too hard. We live on a main road which is one reason for keeping her in but knowing they don’t bother with flea treatment is gonna be another. I’m gonna stock up on the stuff though for both the cat and dogs and make sure I’m completely up to date.

I hate fleas.

You can contact RSPCA anonymously, and if you're scared they will track your phone number down type 141 in before dialing which withholds your number. Cat's Protection can only really advise and sadly don't have the powers of RSPCA.

I would but don’t you think it would be a coincidence that new neighbours move in and the RSPCA show up at the door. I can’t risk it
