Really? This is a thing?! How on earth do I do it!

I wasn't the one at the apt I should add...

Do you do it?

ASBO’s liquid antibiotics were pineapple flavour. Even the vet thought it odd.

Cant help but think it was a paeds medication 😂

Harry's heart medication was cherry flavoured. Surprisingly he ate his food with it in. He did spit it over me when we tried syringing it into his mouth though!

I just had a £800+ vet bill for teeth cleaning under anaesthetic for eleven yo dcat.😱

Same here. I've now worked out if I saved 25p per day from her being a kitten, it would have covered it. I'd love for an innovative bank to provide an account that has about 10 'sub accounts' where you can put a pennies Standing Order in place and just leave it for things like this.

KeeeeeepDancing · 28/01/2024 16:51

Seasalt there is a bank that does this. Starling Bank. A proper bank, all done through the phone app or website.
I have savings 'spaces' like mini savings accounts. And I can round up all my purchases to the nearest pound into one of these spaces.
A million miles better than the old fashioned banks

Our vet asked us this, we just looked at each other and laughed! 😱😂

Toddlerteaplease · 28/01/2024 17:10

@Seasaltsquall my parents had one that you can do that. I can't remember who with.

I’ve had a number of cats over the years and have never been told to do this, or been charged for expensive teeth cleaning procedures. They’ve never had any issues with their teeth.

EffortlessDistraction · 28/01/2024 18:04

Our two are 11 and at their last check up the vet said their teeth had a lot of tartar. She suggested plaque-off, we mix it in with their morning breakfast food (wet) and they eat it quite happily. Will find out if it has worked at the next check-up. I am a dab hand at tabletting them but no way am I attempting tooth-brushing.

There's a thing on dragons den right now about brushing cats teeth. The dental wand

Does it come with free scar cream?

Alphabet1spaghetti2 · 01/02/2024 21:33

and free whiskey - so much whiskey needed.

mummysparkles82 · 01/02/2024 21:38

My eldest cat Matilda is 9 and we were told by our vets to brush her teeth once a week. We bought a little toothbrush on amazon that you put on the tip of your finger and then use a fishy toothpaste on the end of it. She took to it rather quickly despite being quite apprehensive upon the first attempt 😳but we did find that if she got nervous and began to bite my finger sometimes playing music helps to calm them down xx google the benefits of classical music for cats xx

CrushingOnRubies · 01/02/2024 22:52

Doubt it has either whiskey or scar cream it looked rather basic
