So I've got two domestic cats. We're both treated few months ago by vet £20 for flea treatment after having them done. I put flea collars on but silly me didn't keep up with the flea treatment. Now I used a pets at home subscribe dropper on them, recently but still no avail the f*clerks are still biting me. All my sofa upholstery I've boil washed too sprayed with flea spray beds etc . Do I need to hoover daily too ?? Do I need to spray around the doors where they enter too ? Can anyone recommend a really good flea killer for the house?

I'm also thinking of getting the vets flea treatment again they said it's better than the shop ones!
I'm just so sick of them apart from getting rid of the cats I'm struggling !

You always need the veterinary prescribed back of the neck flea treatment and need to do it regularly especially in the summer. You can buy good ones from online vets a bit cheaper. You also now need to spray your entire home including carpets, cushions, curtains etc with Indorex, which you can buy from the online vets too.

I had an infestation once. I used an entire can, twice, two weeks apart, to do every single room including under beds, cupboards, sofa, carpets etc. thoroughly washed all bedding and cushion covers
failing that you need to treat the cats and get pest control in. Over the counter flea collars aren’t worth anything. they don’t work.

leave the cats outside whilst you spray and keep the windows closed.

Boil wash everything.

steam clean/everything, pay attention to edges of carpets and sofas.

indorex every room one by one. Again pay attention to the edge of the room. Keep doors and windows shut of each room for half an hour and then air out.

after hoovering, empty hoover in a bin bag in the outside bin. Don’t put the hoover back without emptying it.

repeat over a two week cycle as any left over eggs will hatch then.

I’d take the kittens to the vets and they’ll douse them in flea treatment spray. If they’re small enough.

I wouldn’t use OTC flea treatment get vet prescribed treatment and use it monthly/as directed. We use advocate.

Agree with above! Get the prescribed flea treatment from the vets. Mark it on your calendar so you don’t forget to do it every month.

Frontline plus is available from pets at home and worked for ours. They were riddled with fleas and they were all dead within 24 hours.
