Viewing Kittens to Adopt

I have a viewing next week to adopt a pair of four month old kittens. I've had kittens before but much younger ones.

What do I need to ask and say? I'm nervous because in the past I've always had free farmyard kittens, not through a protection society.

My two boys died 6 months and two years ago, and there's a cat shaped hole in my life.

No idea but I’m following as we are off to see a 12 week old tomorrow.

Just make sure they are chipped, neutered, wormed, flea treated and litter trained. I guess they have already told you what the adoption fee is and how to pay.

Maybe check what food and litter they are on so you can get in familiar supplies for them.

It may be a thought to take something that smells of you with you to see them, then if the rescue allows you can leave it with them so they get used to your scent. Added benefit is by the time they come home with you, they will have imbued it with their own scents so will have something familiar to help settle them

I like friendly cats. I'd be asking about their personalities.
Any quirks, triggers, weirdness.

Lots of good suggestions here, thank you! I'll update with pics after I visit.

Having been spun a line and unwittingly took a terminally ill 'kitten' (turned out he was seriously malnourished, stunted growth adult cat) home from a rescue I'd suggest asking a lot of questions about their history. Have they been feral at any point? Have they had any bites or injuries if they have been feral at any point? What kind of vet checks have they had? Maybe also asking which vet practice they use?
