Indoor cat upset about neighbouring cats

Our 6yo male is an indoor cat due to a couple of serious medical conditions. There are three new cats in neighbouring houses all now around 12 months old, two are male. They seem to be spending increasing time in our garden and it's driving our cat wild sitting at the window. Does anyone have any suggestions to either make this better for our cat or discourage visitors? Thanks

I used to close the curtains when I had visiting cats in the garden. It was better after my neighbour fixed his fever abs they can't get in anymore.

I suppose a quiet word with them is out of the question 😬

I don't think either would change anything unfortunately.

My cat can get behind all of our blinds and curtains and spends a lot pf time on window sills so I think he'd still see unfortunately.

You could put up the frosted window film at the bottom of the windows?

Also do all the things everyone else has to do to (try to) stop neighbours' cats shitting in your garden.

You could put his empty litter around the garden, make them think it's his territory?

Get some of those cat scaring things that send out a high pitched alarm

@Rampantukulele mine aren't that clever! So losing the curtains wi other. Mine are allowed out into the garden as it's enclosed, and quite tricky for interlopers to get in. One did manage it, and it resulted in a punctured eye and a vets bill of £800 🙄

Nerf gun?

I had the same problem with my cat, which included neighbour cats and foxes coming right up to the cat flap and window to stare at her and wind her up.

Every time I saw an intruder I sprayed them with a water pistol, and made a point of noisily opening the back door each morning and having a stomp around outside. The visitors have decreased a lot.
