Cat lumpy lip

Hi, Dcat is 18 months old and has so far never had any real issues other than PICA. He looked okay this morning but I've just got home and noticed he has a big red lip. He doesn't seem bothered at all by it but it's hard and around a malteser size lump.
The skins really red with with few blackhead type spots. I will take him to the vets tomorrow but has anyone got any ideas on what it may be? He's eating happily, grooming and playing. I've leucillin sprayed it and he's had a 2.5mg cetirizine incase he's been stung (same as he was recommended to take for a bee sting last year - he never learns). He's a indoor cat so won't have got in to anything outside.

Pictures are taken 2 days apart. He normally has a little white chin - He's part siamese if that makes a difference 😅

Thank you 🐾

He's gorgeous, bless him it looks sore.
My first thought was a bee sting, but as he is an indoor cat maybe not.
Or could it be feline acne?
Hope he is ok

He's got form for getting stung but I can't find any dead bugs laying around and I've not seen a wasp or bee this year. He has tiny black spots so I'm hoping it's acne but it's so big. He's happily eaten his pouch of food and he's crunched some biscuits so it isn't bothering him much, if atall. He had acne as a kitten but it was a few small spots rather than a large hard lump.

His lips gone down a bit today so I went with a morning appointment at the vets tomorrow just incase it resolves itself. Unfortunately he's started shaking his head and holding his ear back, his ear has little brown dots in it and a tiny bit if yellow fluid so I'm guessing ear mites as my old cat used to get them. DH has gone to get some drops from the pet shop in the hope he can relieve some itching until tomorrow's appointment. He's still happily playing, eating, grooming and drinking but he's grumpy 😾. I didn't realise indoor cats could get ear mites 😩

Update incase anyone else ever has the same issue - The vet thinks it's lip oedema caused by allergies. He has a weeks worth of steroids to take which he's happily taking in a squeeze dreamies tube twice a day. He's so sleepy now though and I'm slightly worried. Maybe it's because he's not itching all the time so he's calmer but I will be ringing the vet tomorrow as he's slept pretty much all day. He had a few minutes of playing but he'd usually get the zoomies at night but hasn't for the past 2 nights. I never thought I'd miss the zoomies 😔He's eating loads though and drinking normally so atleast he seems okay there.

Thanks for updating. My cat regularly gets a fat lip but it looks different to your picture so I didn't comment - hers is more like a kind of bubble on he bottom lip.

The vet said allergies as well. I haven't successfully narrowed it down, but it seems to be the more expensive cat food pates and pouches which are held together with some kind of gel. So worth thinking about if you have changed your cat's food recently.

I was about to say it looks like an allergy. My old cat had thus due to the food we had him on. Hope the steroid course works well.

My cats get these it's called an eosinophilic granuloma, basically allergies 😂

The usual advise is to not give plastic food bowls, switch to metal or ceramic bowls, but yeah my boy usually gets them over summer time and sometimes can be quite bad... but nothing to worry about I don't think
