Alternative to Katkin

My cats have been on Katkin for a couple of months, and had really taken to it - they're elderly, one with a very sensitive tummy, so I was pleased I'd found something good for them that they liked.

BUT, Katkin seemed to have changed how they produce their products and the food is now grey slop that turns watery when warmed. Even worse, it has given my girl the most horrendous diarrhea, to the point I'm going to need to take her to the vet (I've only just realised that it started after the last Katkin delivery, and I feel awful that I didn't make the connection sooner 😢).

So can anyone recommend an alternative to Katkin? I'm keen to have something fresh and I'm willing to pay a premium for good quality. I've just ordered a trial box of Untamed, but it doesn't seemed to be fresh in the same way that Katkin is/was?

We've had exactly the same experience. We were so happy with them until this change! It's crazy that it happened with no warning and no transition period.

We've just switched to https://fuzzball.club/ which so far seems like a great alternative with higher meat content than most other brands (like untamed and coolcatclub) we've looked at.

My fussy one loved the trial pack and they were super helpful when I asked for a slightly different plan than what was offered on their site. We will definitely be signing on to their subscription.

Im also not convinced by a raw diet, its impossible to tell from my online research if its ok or not 🙀

I'll have a look at that. Saw Katkin offered an apology today and will be returning to pouches, if people want them / tweaking the recipes, so i'll see how that works out.

I'm also unconvinced by raw food (unlike my cat, who woke me up at 5am, jumping on the bed with a bunny she'd killed and was starting to munch on🙄).
